We met with Elkie when we adopted our ex racing greyhound Teddiefew months ago. Greyhounds, although amazing and lovely dogs, can also be very stubborn sometimes, especially when the weather is bad and it's raining. Elkie puts up with his stubborness and is very patient with him for which we are extremely grateful. Elkie will also come sometimes twice a day to Teddie when we are at work to walk him and feed him. I have an active Shih Tzu and a very nervous chihuahua! Elkie manages both, no problem. She has a really calm temperament with the dogs & I trust her completely with their care, & wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her. She takes my dogs all over the place on their walks & when I’m fit enough to walk them myself, they are going to be so bored lol. We Love Pets have been so good that when i’m well i’m keeping her to do one walk a week so that my dogs get a really good walk. Me and my dog LOVE working with Trish. We have both learned so much and our bond thru training has got so much stronger and he has learned things I have seen other dogs do but never imagined my dog could do. From a reactive dog to a dog who will now barely even take an interest in a dog as we pass and if he does, I know now how to read his body language and avoid any issue and since dealing with his reactivity we have been able to do so much more with him from basics commands to tricks and just being a dog I've always wanted but never thought I would have. I could not recommend Elkie enough, she looked after our dog Dolly for the weekend whilst we got married... I was nervous about leaving Dolly because she is fearful of certain things. When it comes to my dog I’m a worrier... what if she runs off, what if she is spooked by something, what if she snaps at someone etc. Elkie made me feel sooo reassured, and most importantly Dolly felt relaxed and safe in Elkie’s care. From picking Toon up to dropping him off, whether its little text updates or photos to show us how Toon his getting along throughout the day its all top notch. What do you love most about your job?
Being outdoors and of course making so many furry friends!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have loved dogs for as long as I can remember. After having a couple of dogs of my own and working a 9-5 job I hated leaving them. I was fortunate enough to be in a position to launch the business and haven't looked back since!
Why should our clients choose you?
We are a team of five walkers to ensure we have availability to cover a wide variety of services and always have holiday and last minute bookings or staff sickness.
Dog walking
Dog walking for 30 or 60 minutes.
Pet/house sitting
If you’re going on holiday and are leaving your pets behind, we can come and stay at your home where your pets feel most comfortable! We will give them lots of love and cuddles whilst you are away, and you can enjoy your holiday knowing that your pets are happy! We can also take care of anything else in the home such as watering plants and putting out the bins!
Small animal boarding
We can take smaller animals to our homes (such as hamsters) to look after whilst you are away.
Pet visits
Are you going away or out for the day and need someone to pop in and check your pets? We can come over however many times you wish to check on, feed, let out or just give some love to your pets!
