I joined We Love Pets Barnet six months ago . Kelly and Anthony who are proud owners who I highly respect. I love my job working with my furry animal's. I had tennis elbow and Kelly was very concerned and took it upon herself to give me a few days off without any notice ,so that I could rest my arm. Silene walked our massive and boisterous puppy for 8 consecutive days while we were on holiday. She sent e-mails and great photos, and he clearly adored her and had lots of fun on their walks. By the end of the week he was more able to sit down when she arrived at the house, instead of jumping all over her, and he was better behaved on his walks. We have a small dog (Titch) who is like our child as he always comes with us everywhere we go as we never leave him at home alone, however we had a Family party to attend. We were very lucky is discover 'We love Pets' and Silene at the Barnet branch. Silene dog sat him at our home. Every day is different! I can’t wait to start the day and come back home happy and feeling rewarded. It has the perfect combination and balance between people, animals and business.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had considered being my own boss some time ago, however, I could not find where or how to start, and I certainly did not have the resources to do so at that time so, I kept it as a dream for four years.
I wanted to do something that made me feel challenged allowing me to professionally and personally grow developing myself without having any limits! After speaking with my sister, she opened my eyes when she mentioned that I needed to think about what I love (she is so wise!) and then I looked for different types of business models and I found We Love Pets!
Why should our clients choose you?
Our dog walks are fun, personal and safe. We have a 'No Pack Walking' policy that doesn't allow to walk dogs in packs (it’s stressful and can be dangerous for the dogs involved) but instead we can pair your dog with another friendly dog pal to walk with. We also offer individual dog walks if your dog prefers to be walked on their own. We don’t put dogs in vans but instead offer a home from home collection service in personal air-conditioned cars.
I hold the City and Guilds Level 2 Qualification in Dog Walking and Dog Behaviour training as well as Pet First Aid. I have a fantastic team who has been also police checked, pet first aid trained and are fully insured, for your peace of mind.
