Wagtails of the Wolds provides a luxury boutique personable service to both dogs and dog owners. We have built our business by having a strong reputation and word of mouth has been how many of our clients have found us.

First full professional groom for my Standard Dachshund. She is meant to be a long haired but is shorter haired than most long haired so her coat was very fluffy, so I decided she needed professional help!

Our two Cockerdors recently had de-shedding treatment before their holiday in Scotland & what a fantastic effect it had. Not only did they shed less in the caravan but every time they went for a swim in the sea, which was multiple times each day, their Coats remained clean. Usually the salt water made their coats dry and a sort of sticky even if rinsed, but each time the dogs dried out their coats felt as if they had just left the groomers. Sand also appeared to stick to them less. So if you want a Teflon coated dog then I can't recommend this treatment enough! Thank you Louise for such a great job. More...

Amazing, absolutely changed Sherlock around. Stubborn boy who hates being groomed but starting to suffer with his undercoat. He actually enjoyed himself and came ack a different boy and then the week after the other 3 were taken in and all of us helped and came out looking like snowmen so much fur! But beautiful soft coats and not as much fur to pick up with the hoover. Brilliant staff will definitely use them for the next time. Nails trimmed without the dog noticing and last time we had to have a dog sedated because of the fear from a previous vets. XXX More...

We visited Louisa yesterday for the first time with our chocolate labby Coco She was fantastic with him as we found out he really doesn’t like being bathed! ! So patient with him. The end result was a gorgeous smelling, glossy coated dog again. What do you love most about your job?
I love working with and being surrounded by dogs - they are fun, naughty and mischievous and great fun to be around, I also love the interaction with pet parents - it's great to be able to share stories, tips and tales with each other.
The actual dog grooming I find particularly exciting - I love being able to transform a dog into a piece of art (being able to make them see again after hair growing into their eyes) putting the shape back into breeds such as schnauzers - being able to just make them look and smell amazing.
I don't have children so my dogs are my babies - I love learning about them constantly, everything I do is based around dogs.
I have introduced dog food into the business, collaborating with Edgard Cooper who make 100% fresh food - nothing artificial added - as I want the very best for my dogs. We have also bought out our own range of dog perfume / cologne - I just love it when the dogs run around the house and waft their smell of yummy perfume. So I have made it available for everyone to experience the same constant luxury smell of the dogs to tide them through until their next dog groom, this is available to purchase in our shop and also online where we can arrange posting it directly to you. We are constantly evolving as a business and having lots of fun along the way. We welcome all dogs, whatever age, size and breed - plus we are very people friendly too :)
Why should our clients choose you?
We have built Wagtails of The Wolds (and Wagtails of Weybridge) to be a very open and welcoming business.
We work along side our clients to make sure their needs are catered to as well as educating and teaching pet parents along the way.
We welcome parents to stay during grooms, some like to be involved and some don't, so we are very flexible - we even provide 1 day Masterclass sessions where we teach you on a 1-2-1 basis on how to groom your own dog.
In addition to this we use a wide range of different products, all organic, to cater for skin conditions, allergies, shedding etc. My own Cavapoo suffers from skin issues which causes Barney a lot of pain and has even dis-coloured his feet making them brown. I have since found a range of products that have 90% cured him from his constant itching and biting, enabling us to stop giving him daily pills! I use these products in the salon on any dog who requires it.
We also offer doggy day care, day creche and pet sitting services - we are situated in 1/4 of an acre garden so the dogs have plenty of room to play, frolic and generally have fun at all times.
We are situated in a great position in Driffield, next to the High School in Manorfield Road, with free parking and easy access - it has never been so easy to get your dog groomed. Call us to find out more information on our full range of services & products.
