After an unfortunate accident in my previous vehicle, (not volvo), we decided to return to a Volvo vehicle. Our local dealership is Paul Rigby Stourbridge. Having looked at cars at other Volvo dealerships on-line, we went to Stourbridge as they had the better selection. Customer parking is a bit tight, but you get a better selection of cars to view. Salesmen came out to see us and offered assistance as we needed it, not pushy. The quality of the cars sell themselves. We selected the car we wanted and negotiated some after market modifications at an excellent price. Took out service plan (cheaper than previous vehicle), and picked up the car 5 working days later. Really impressed with quality of care and customer service from Sean. We bought a Volvo V40 today and dealt with Sean Sharma. What a service!! Lovely people, and no “salesperson” tactics which we’ve experienced from Ford before. There was no pushy sell, and we felt completely at ease the whole time. Sean was in correspondence with my husband throughout the week before we travelled up from Gloucester today-he ensured the majority of paperwork was done over the phone, and was really helpful throughout. We certainly didn’t waste our time driving the hour and a half to get there. We’re chuffed to bits with the car and service we received today. The attention to detail in the way they deliver customer service is 10/10, from the test drive to handing over of the keys. They made sure we knew all about the controls on the car, and were genuinely more than happy to help with anything regarding the car. The best Volvo branch I have dealt with by far! I specifically want to thank Natalie for her outstanding service and support. Basically I had new tyres being fitted today and when I arrived at the garage local to me I had noticed the car wash I took my car too had lost my locking wheel nut so unable to get new tyres. I called Volvo and spoke to Natalie who advised they could help me replace the original bolts, anyway all sorted within an hour and a half of me calling including the 45 min round trip from droitwich to lye. Having decided to upgrade from my 55 plate Volvo S40 SE purchased in 2006, we decided to seek a used V40 with a D2 engine. With the aid of the Volvo Selekt website I found a possible car at a fair price at Volvo Stourbridge. Joe Oliver promptly sent additional pictures and we did the deal over the phone. We travelled from Essex by train to collect the car and were met at the nearby rail station. The car was immaculate and there were no signs that it is three years old. Joe Oliver was knowledgable, pleasant and efficent, while Sam gave an excellent introduction to the bells and whistles. On the way home I averaged 68.4 mpg. Nice range of cars , I love the xc60 but road tax starts at £140 and then jumps up to £450 for 5 years and then goes back to £140 If the tax was to stay at £140 i would have a xc60 tomorrow.

The Stourbridge branch was brilliant. My Volvo v70 broke down with a steering lock fault. They managed to fit me in and repaired the next day. I forgot to ask them to check my battery so before I picked the car up they did the check and found it needed replacing and also found a split spring on the health check. All was repaired promptly at a competitive price. The guy even stayed later than he should to allow me to get the car back. Well done to the service team! More...
