About

After earning my BA Honours Degree in Primary Education from Liverpool John Moores University, I entered the teaching world to explore my passion for working with children. I worked in this profession for 15 years and though I loved it, I knew it wasn’t my dream job. However it helped me with lots of skills that I still use today: communication, time management and multi-tasking.



I’ve spent the last 8 years learning everything there is to know about the interior design industry from working as a home specialist/manager on the shop floor at Neptune Wilmslow, to finally being a home designer for the Neptune Knutsford store.



At the beginning of my interior design career, the role as a home specialist and working on the shop floor, gave me the skill set to work with lots of different styles and people. The role then lead me to help manage the store and in this time I was I’m responsible for managing store orders and planning and designing the layout of the store. It was in that moment, I realized my passion and decide to take it further and study interior design in my own time.


In 2015 I completed a design diploma. Whilst completing the course I was encouraged to explore and nurture my own sense of flair and creativity. This is something I still believe to be important when designing rooms for customers, looking outside the box. What can I do to translate your style into the design and make it completely individual to you?
It also gave me all the tools to use such software as CAD when designing and the practical skills necessary to translate design ideas into a reality.

After many wonderful and successful years at Neptune, I felt my time had come to branch out and with plenty of self-belief, ambition and hard work, I’m ready to turn my dream into a reality of owning my own interior design business.

Focusing on residential design has allowed me to work closely with individuals to create spaces that truly reflect their personality and lifestyle.

Blending traditional and modern styles and creating stunning and unique interiors is my strength. My experience with different styles and with my creative flair definitely shines in this area. It's all about finding that perfect balance between classic elegance and contemporary elements.

Working with traditional craftsmen and antiques, while incorporating modern concepts and designs can yield truly captivating results. Collaborating closely with craftsmen and artisans who specialize in traditional techniques can add authenticity and richness to my designs.

In my 8 years I’ve built a solid network of skilled professionals and resources to support the vision. Collaborating with experienced craftsmen, upholsterers, experienced tradesmen and knowledgeable antique dealers has undoubtedly enrich the authenticity and depth of my designs. With such a strong team, I’m well-equipped to create beautifully blended interiors that seamlessly marry traditional craftsmanship with modern concepts.

Regular communication and face-to-face meetings are key to maintaining a collaborative design process and ensuring my clients feel involved every step of the way. By keeping you informed about the progress of the project and involving you in decision-making processes, Iv’e fostered a sense of ownership and excitement about the final outcome.

Face-to-face meetings provide an opportunity for open dialogue, allowing you to express your thoughts, preferences, and any concerns they may have, while also giving you the chance to provide guidance and expertise. This level of engagement ensures that the design reflects your vision while also meeting the practical needs and expectations required.

Flexibility in timelines is essential in the dynamic field of interior design, as unexpected challenges and feedback may arise throughout the project. I approach these unfortunate events by building buffer time into your initial schedule to account for potential delays or revisions. Additionally, maintaining open lines of communication with you, will allow you to promptly address any concerns or changes, ensuring that the project stays on track while accommodating your needs and preferences.

Regular check-ins and ongoing dialogue will enable you to assess the progress of the project and make necessary adjustments to the timeline as needed. Whilst I will remain adaptable and responsive to the evolving nature of the project, you'll be better equipped to meet your expectations while delivering exceptional results.
