Can’t fault vets4pets Blackwood our ferret Ben had been very poorly the last week and we took him to see Jordi, we had xrays and unfortunately Ben couldn’t be treated and we had to let our sweet boy go, the vets and nurses were so compassion and understanding thank you for everything and we will definitely be using vets4pets Blackwood again

My baby boy was diagnosed with lymphoma and after a battle and his chemo he lost his fight and I cannot praise the vets and staff here. Our cat Fearne was brought in close to death following a head trauma on Friday. Jordi and his team worked tirelessly to stabilise her and sent her to emergency hospital care in Ystrad Mynach. With all the care and attention from all concerned, Fearne’s life was saved. She is still recovering at home but we are overjoyed to have her with us. Our grateful thanks will always be towards the vets and nurses at Blackwood and Ystrad Mynach V.E.T.S. I found Jordi & the team in 2018 when my beautiful bunny Dolly required specialist dental treatment. From our first consultation, Jordi was informative & realistic of the outcomes. Dolly went in for several dentals; each time I was allowed to settle her in to the small animal area. As an anxious bunny mummy, this was really helpful. The practise always called me after surgery to let me know that she was ok & arrange a discharge time. Sadly, due to health complications, Dolly died over the Easter period. Again, Jordi had been very kind but very realistic about the care Dolly needed & her potential life expectancy. We were to provide quality of life care as there was nothing further any of us could do to make her well. During her short life, Jordi carried out procedures that made her more comfortable & the vet team nursed her better. I always felt happy that the team got to know her & provided her with an excellent level of care. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend anyone to this practise; Jordi always takes his time with thorough explanations & the rest of the staff are fantastic. Thank you for caring for Dolly. More...

Sat at home reading yhe reviews on this page, I understand everyone experience is different but I would just like to say that any experience I have had with this vets has been fantastic. Jordi spends alot of time explaining everthing in a way you understand. he is enthusiastic and caring. The head nurse make a huge fuss of you and your pets and sympathies with you when you are a blubbering mess. there are no snooty professionals here just wonderful caring people who clearly love their job and are on the level and treat your pets with dignity. Do not be put off by the negative feed back left, everyone is different and handles things in very different ways. fees for treatment are a prerequisite for any business. ..after all you dont go shopping at Tesco and tell them you'll pop the money in later. I feel for the stressful situations people are in but they take card payments so easy peesy. anyway I think you are all fab and work well as a team. I know my boy is in the best hands and have complete faith in the care you provide. More...

We had a stray rabbit handed into us this morning. Vets4Pets Blackwood offered him a free health check. The rabbit is in good health. Vets4Pets have been amazing over the past couple of months I've been visiting with my dog, Lucky, and his ongoing condition! Jordi has been fantastic, has worked closely with my dog and has always made sure that I understood what was happening by thoroughly explaining everything from tests to treatment. Jordi has gone above and beyond to get the correct diagnosis for my dog and his passion for the job clearly shows in all of the hard work and hours that he puts in! My little hamster Frankie received amazing care at this vets. Unfortunately Frankie didn't make it but I know that Jordi gave him the best chance possible. He tried everything for him and was so kind and compassionate. The reception staff were also brilliant, fitting us in at short notice and one took Frankie to sit in a warm room to wait as it was so cold.
