We really liked Azeez. He was punctual, communication was good and he done the job we asked him to do. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is that he said he wouldn't add VAT onto the price (which I didn't expect) and we asked him to confirm that over the phone three times before he came out. When he arrived he said he had to charge VAT afterall. We accepted because he was there and ready to do the job, but we had had other cheaper quotes and we felt there was a little bit of deception in trying to secure the job. He also turned up alone without help which meant, near the end, we had to help him lift some of the heavier items into the van. Despite difficult circumstances due to a family emergency leaving us far less organised than ideal on day of move, Verdant were brilliant. Verdant removals were the 1st company to respond to my job request on here, and I had an open and honest chat with the owner, Azeez, from the start. I could have spent ages comparing other quotes, but I felt confident that he understood my job and the pricing was fair, so I decided to go with my gut and book them. I’m really glad I did.
The night before my move I started to panic that I had more stuff than I thought, so I contacted Azeez and he offered to provide a 2nd vehicle; he wasn’t at all phased and offered a solution - exactly what you need in a stressful situation.
On the moving day, Azeez and Mike (the other person on the job) were really upbeat, were careful and considerate with my possessions and gave me peace of mind and reassurance every step of the way. Given the amount of junk I had to dispose of ahead of my move, it’s good to know they’re doing something to offset this by striving to become a fully green company with their fleet of electric vehicles.
