VEGETARIAN FOOD STUDIO

I've been eating Vegetarian Food Studio food since they opened and I have never had cause to complain. Having been used to the usual Indian restaurant their food was a real eye opener and I can honestly say I have never come across most of the flavours and textures anywhere else before. Always lovely service and food here. Very clean with a 5* food hygiene rating. Waitress service is quick and friendly. Soft drinks a little expensive at £1. 65 a can. You're welcome to take your own drinks though and they have an alcoholic license so you can take your own alcohol if you wish. All meals are served with a jug of water. The restaurant has disabled access and an ATM right by the entrance. You can also pay with a card and of course cash is welcome as well. Gets very busy on the evenings and is closed on a Monday. Wow! A vegetarian cornucopia. If you can't find something you love on the menu then you are very hard to please. Great little diner and the staff are so friendly too. I loved it!

People have been raving about the VFS to me for years but I never got round to actually eating there until this week. Everything I had heard about it was true! The food was amazing, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier, the only fault was there was too much choice! What a place! If you are vegetarian or vegan this should be on your bucket list. The menu is huge and is all actually authentic. You will not find a tills masala here, it's all real actual Indian food cooked by honest real people. The walls are incredible, the place is big so you could have a decent sized party there. As an Asian vegetarian, it was good but not great, several dishes I would have thought that would/should have been cooked at time of ordering were not, however that being said many of the clientele are fluid and want a fast service, so they were satisfied. Food was tasty.

An unusual canteen-style setting for easily one of the best Indian restaurants in Cardiff, and very good value indeed.The food is prepared freshly so it can take a while to cook, but it's worth the wait.
