I have been going to User 2 for a few years now and most recently i've had some updates done on my laptop. User 2 are efficient/friendly and very helpful to speak to for software updates/IT support . About 6 months ago I had User2 install SSD on my laptop. Last week my laptop crashed. I took it back to User2 for inspection. They diagnosed that the SSD they had installed was to blame. (Not their fault). They replaced it, under warranty, free of charge. They could have told me anything, but they did not, even though it cost them a substantial amount of time to effect the repair. Very impressed with the service here, the guys were really helpful in fixing and upgrading an old and dying laptop... They talked me through the various options and were upfront about pricing. I received regular phone updates from them during the process and once my laptop was ready for collection.They even removed an old sticky label mark from the top of my machine, as a bonus! Definitely the best in town. Did not ask me to leave my laptop there for "further diagnosis" like others did and instead simply taught me how to repair it by myself in the easiest way possible and charged less than half of what other laptop repair places suggested to charge. Congratulations to Phill at user2 a first class IT service. I had issues on my home network which needed diagnosed and reconfigured. This was done by Chris. Who I cannot rate highly enough on expertise and his friendly explanations on what was required to fix. Such a great place! Staff was very friendly and efficient! Dropped off my laptop and got it the very next day :) Old MAC needed to be refurbished, they put in a new battery and got me a new charger at a very reasonable price! I was planning a major desktop upgrade and prefer to spend money locally than the internet (as long as I don't have to try too hard and not at any expence). I had a chat at the the Goldenacre branch and came away with a suggested list of components. I compared a couple of the major ones online and they reviewed well and the quoted prices were good. I placed an order and picked it all up a couple of days later.Unlike previous upgrades it didn't "just work" once all plugged together and after a couple of days I contacted the shop. They said to bring it in for a look. They identified the problem (my fault) and it was available for collection within the day, all for no charge.My only negative comment would be that in five visits within their publicised opening hours (initial chat, attempt to place order, collection, return and final collection) they were shut on two of them (at either end of the day). I've not been in the other shop but on passing it looks busier and, I imagine, has more staff.That aside, very satisfied with the service and would buy from there again. More...
