Unit Eleven is a great gym offering Personal Training, a variety of fitness classes and Open Gym sessions. There is something to suit everyone. Owner Amie & a number of regular coaches are very keen on ensuring technique is correct and this is always demonstrated ahead of each class. A variety of memberships are available or a ‘pay as you go’ option. I have the U11 half membership which enables me to attend 12 classes per month. Due to a significant number of classes available over the week, this membership provides me with great flexibility to attend around other home/life commitments. I have attended Amie’s classes for a number of years. She provides a friendly and inclusive environment and I would definitely recommend Unit Eleven if you are looking for somewhere to achieve your fitness goals! More...

If you want knowledgeable coaches and a friendly atmosphere this is the place to go! Great culture going on and I’m proud to be a part of it. Classes are adapted for all abilities, any injuries can be accommodated so you don’t have to stop training, there really is something for everyone! Amie’s advice and guidance for training throughout pregnancy was amazing. She was able to reassure and support me with total discretion in the early days, adapting and tweaking my training when needed to make sure I was comfortable and safe. Even in classes she always planned alternative exercises for me so I could participate at a level that was comfortable for me. Although though I suffered from SPD, I was able to train well into my third trimester, which definitely helped with my pregnancy and labour overall! My postnatal return has been brilliant too… Amie gave me the confidence to come back to classes as soon as I felt able, and has no problem if I need to bring baby with me too - she’s an excellent baby bouncer!! I’ve been building back up slowly, and now feel super proud of the progress I’ve made. Coming back to a challenging functional class was something I would never of had the confidence to do after my first pregnancy, but thanks to Amie and the atmosphere and team she has built at Unit Eleven, I had no reservations - and couldn’t wait to get back!! Unit 11 is a great place to train supported by amazing coaches and a lovely team. I’ve trained with Amie for years and she is always moving forwards with training styles and class options. I struggle with injury and some movements I simply can’t do, which is never a problem as adaptions are made. I’m never made to feel the odd one out which is huge if you feel like you can’t be included due to a physical handicap or fitness level. The gym really is inclusive for all. By far the best gym going! Amie really knows what she’s doing and I was able to attend the group sessions right up until two days before giving birth! Being able to come back post birth and bring my little one along with me has been amazing for both my physical and mental health! Aimee and Leah are amazing coaches and have helped me improve in such a short space of time. I’ve been going to classes and Unit 11 since it opened and I have found both the coaches and other members to always be friendly, helpful and encouraging. All the classes cater for a range of abilities (and movements are adapted if you have an injury) and are as challenging as you make them. Unit 11 is such an awesome place to train, Amie is not only passionate about coaching but she is also brilliant at it, a natural teacher. I absolutely love Attending the classes when I can. Classes can always be adjusted to peoples abilities making them good for everyone, your always pushed to your max getting the best out of your workout and your always shown what to do beforehand. I don’t attend often due to work 😔 but when I do I am always guaranteed a good workout and I always feel welcome. The atmosphere is good and the tunes are always guaranteed to get your tempo up 🎵. Unit Eleven is amazing! The coaches and members are so welcoming and there is such a warm, friendly, team vibe. I have been training with Amie from the very beginning when she first started out and have loved every minute of it. Amie and the other coaches are motivating and celebrate your achievements no matter how small they may be. I never thought I would feel comfortable exercising in classes or a gym but Amie and the other members have made it so easy. There are a range of classes all adapted for any ability whether you're a beginner or experienced. Amie plans each session with such detail, tailoring them to meet the needs of individuals who may have injuries or who is post pregnancy. Throughout lockdown I was pregnant and was able to continue exercising until I was 37weeks via zoom classes; Amie was great at having alternatives for me to do so that I felt comfortable and confident to continue exercising. After completing personal training sessions with Amie I have built up confidence and have just started attending classes. Amie is knowledgeable but passes on her knowledge in such a friendly way so even as a beginner I always feel at ease and am not scared to ask questions when I’m not sure . I have a damaged knee which limits what I'm able to do, this isn't an issue though as each session is adapted so I'm still able to get a workout done. I have the unit 11 half membership and attend classes 3 times a week. During the daytime I bring my baby with me, which is brilliant as it means I can get my workout done during the day. I love the structure of the classes and Amie is an excellent coach, she really knows her stuff. After 5 months of training I feel strong and so much fitter. I have really enjoyed learning how to lift with a barbell and still have so much to learn. I love the classes and would 100% recommend anyone to start!! More...

Unit 11 is so much more than just a gym! The classes vary from week to week giving so much variety and focusing on all areas. Challenging but yet so fun! Amie is there to really push you if you want it but there’s no pressure at all. It’s just a really fun place to achieve your fitness and strength Goals. I attend 3 classes a week, there’s a such a wide range of times on offer to ensure you can fit them in. Everyone is super friendly and you feel like your part of one big fitness family! I am forever grateful for finding Unit 11 and to Amie and Leah for pushing me when I need it and just being a constant support in helping me achieve my fitness goals. I absolutely love training at Unit Eleven. I attend two functional classes a week. Amie is a fantastic coach and nothing is to much trouble - she will always find a substitute exercise if you have an issue with the one specified. The classes are never over crowded so she can keep an eye on you and make sure you are using the correct technique. Everyone is made welcome no matter what level of fitness you are. Absolutely love the variety of sessions on offer - definitely something for all abilities. If you want to build strength and confidence this is the place for you! I regularly attend 6 classes a week as well as a weekly PT session. When I thought I couldn’t attend due to issues with my elbow & knee movements were scaled back, adapted, changed to ensure I could still train in some capacity. Amie & Leah are fab coaches, they will push you & take you out of your comfort zone which means you’ll see some amazing progress. Great for your physical & mental health. I attend 3 sessions per week at Unit Eleven through one of the many membership offers available; these tend to be 2 functional fit sessions & a circuits session. There is a great selection of classes available with a wide variety of content, catering for all abilities and representing good value for money. The timetable provides flexibility so you can mix up sessions to manage around your personal commitments too! Both Amie & Leah are great as instructors There is a strong focus on technique and they will always demonstrate each exercise ahead of the session. They are both encouraging and motivating, driving you to reach that next goal! (They also play some decent tunes!!) Would definitely recommend Amie for personal training and classes. After a serious leg operation followed by limited physio due to covid my fitness was at its lowest along with my self-confidence. An awesome place to train! There is such a variety of classes in terms of type/time so there is definitely something for everyone. Since joining unit 11, my confidence in lots of different moves has improved, even press ups!! Definitely recommend! I'd lost all my confidence in taking part in group fitness or any fitness to be honest after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, but last year that changed. Aime has given me that back, no one judges anyone during classes and Aime always adapts exercises to fit my needs. My balance has improved so much (until I do burpees 😉) thanks so much! ☺️ More...

From starting out around 6 months ago, I now try to get to three classes a week and Ive managed to not only keep going but actually want to go. Amies classes are fun but challenging, and most importantly for me, they can always accommodate my needs. My own experience with personal trainers and group fitness.
Having 'been there done that' with weight loss and fitness, I realised there is a much better way to go about it than solely focussing on 'weight loss'. So I became a PT to do just that.
Fast forward 6 years and I own my own gym that opens 7 days a week and is used by 100+ people - all of which are coached either in a 1:1 or group format.

I offer a very relaxed approach to training. Many people think hiring a PT you are going to get some military coach who shouts at you all the time - that simply isn't the case.
I've helped hundreds of people lose weight, tone up, get stronger, learn new skills and most importantly, feel more confident and happy.

Yes - my in-person services are in my own gym in North Yorkshire. Everything else is done remotely, online.
