Q&As

Making a difference by helping people see that they can do it! Whatever aspect they want to pursue, I love working together to get there. It’s great knowing I’ve helped people develop their sense of self, self belief and their skills.

It’s great to be able to work more closely with my clients, to really be able to meet their individual needs. I’ve gathered lots of experience over the years and in my own business I can put all the best bits into action which is very satisfying.

I know what I’m doing in education and I’m an excellent teacher, even if I do say so myself! I’m nice and approachable and I ‘get’ all the problems that can come with trying to learn, especially anxiety and self esteem. I’m positive and have a ‘can do’ approach, we can do it together !

I can do both, online or if you’re near me, in person.

I have a large room space which is well ventilated. I have written several COVID risk assessments for schools so I am fully aware of measures we can use. Masks wearing, hand gel and social distancing can be adopted when working in person, or online, if preferred.

I can offer additional support for those who need to improve and make more rapid progress in reading, from phonics to fluency. I can address early to developed writing, working on all aspects-spelling, syntax, grammar, punctuation etc., addressing gaps in learning and supporting those with dyslexia, as well as the more able. I can support preparation for Statutory Assessments such as SATs and take the stress out of making progress. The cost is, first 30 mins consultation, free, then £40 per. hour.

I can support all aspects of the content and practice towards English GCSEs. I can adapt to any Examination Board and Specification requirements. Whether to improve general performance in English or specifically support preparation for exams, my personal, clear, friendly approach helps my student ‘get’ English so they can pass. The 1 to 1 approach helps diffuse anxiety, so much part of regular schooling, and gives the student confidence to ask and ask again where they are not sure. The cost is, first 30 minute consultation, free, then £40 per. hour.

Whether a hobbyist wanting some extra guidance or a student needing support for a qualification, I am able to support your artistic journey.
