Tutor Village is a new education centre based in Darlington (United Kingdom) launched by a UK-qualified teacher, Haniful Islam.
We specialise in delivering Mathematics tutoring to students from primary school age up to adults. We provide face-to-face tutoring from our Darlington classroom for those who are local and offer online lessons for the rest of our students.

What do you love most about your job?
My passion is teaching. Especially with Maths, a subject that so many children and adults struggle with, I love being able to explain things in a way that finally makes things "click" for my students.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having worked as a teacher in schools throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, I saw the impact that school disruptions was having on children. I decided that the best way for me to make an impact on students was to move teaching on-to-one and small groups, helping them to catch up and regain confidence.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am well-qualified to teach my students, but I don't think that is what sets me apart from other teachers. I prioritise building a positive learning environment, where nobody is judged for things they have not yet learned. We focus on making progress and not how much we know. I do my best to keep lessons fun and interesting by finding creative ways to teach different concepts and topics.
