My name is Jeff Turnbull.
I am a Level 3 Personal Trainer & Nutrition Coach and the founder of TURNFIT Personal Training.
I help transform the bodies & fitness of Individuals, Couples & Small Groups with tailored Training & Nutrition. I work with clients of all ages, but specialise in working with clients in their 40s, 50s and 60s.

Approaching my mid-40s and with my weight increasing every year, the time had come for me to improve my fitness. My job is quite demanding, so I needed a routine to fit into my busy day, but still had family time. This is where Jeff came in and he was brilliant.
He took the time to understand what my goals were and ensure the programme worked around my schedule.
I'm an early riser, so we decided on 5:00am start for the sessions! The sessions consisted of bodyweight exercises and using kettlebells plus exercises to increase my mobility and flexibility. Jeff always had the session planned before we met, so no time was wasted and he also provided a cardio plan I could do on days that we didn't meet.
Very quickly I was losing weight (over 2 stone in the first 3 months alone). and I also got more toned and had more energy.
Jeff's enthusiasm is infections and that helped me through the sessions. Even with them being tough, I always knew Jeff had my best interests at heart and that he had the same desire as me for achieving my goals. I can't recommended him enough.

This was my first time using a personal trainer is I really appreciated how Jeff listened to what I wanted to achieve and designed a challenging and varied workout programme.
I decided on 2 x personal training sessions per week for 6 x months. In addition, Jeff gave me "homework exercises" for me to do around my schedule.
Jeff worked me hard, however, his motivation and enthusiasm was a real driving force to help me persevere and challenge my ability.
Jeff is a knowledgeable and a very personable personal trainer who I trust very much. Jeff's guidance to drive me forward has encouraged me to continue to follow his carefully prepared programme notes.

Working with Jeff on my fitness was Fantastic! Jeff had been nothing but encouraging and supportive in all aspects of my wellbeing, not just weight-loss. Our sessions were always hard work, but also had an element of fun, which was really important in keeping me motivated. When I thought I couldn’t achieve something, I was never allowed to simply give up. Instead, it was broken down to help me manage it, which allowed me to achieve what I believed to be impossible. There was no shouting, just pure encouragement and belief in me.
The faith Jeff had in what I could achieve has given me the self-belief that I can achieve. Jeff has been brilliant and I can’t recommend him enough.

I take the time to fully understand the client's reason for wanting to improve their health and fitness.
All training programmes are tailored to the individual client, which will progress them step-by-step to achieving their goals.
Regular re-assessments are performed to ensure the client is on track with adjustments made to the programme accordingly

What helps my clients is believing in themselves and knowing that by following the training programme that they will achieve their goals. It takes 4 to notice your body changing, 8 weeks for your friends, 12 weeks for the rest of the world. Give it 12 weeks - Don't quit!

I became a Personal Trainer after making my own way to fitness following a life-saving operation a few years ago. Having emerged the other side and achieved my goals, I am now using my skills, my experience, my qualifications and my own journey to help others

I know how being unfit and overweight can affect all parts of people's lives and I want to be there for those who want to bring about change. I want to help them discover the benefits of training that have helped me to become the person that I am today, and I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

Hand sanitiser is readily available.
All touch points of equipment are cleaned/sanitised after use, including dumbbells, mats and benches.
I wear a mask during appointments.
Masks are not mandatory for clients but will be available on site if desired
I advise clients not to wear gloves in their sessions as the World Health Organisation's (WHO) advice is that it is preferable not to wear gloves but to regularly wash your hands.
