Though Darren seems to be a nice sociable guy, I had a bitter experience of not delivery to what was promised professionally. Quote were provided promptly and work was scheduled to be carried on particular days - which was rescheduled last minute because he could not find his men to do it. Was done a week later with help of couple of people - where they needed to be taken care of all through out the day. Though I was ok with a lot of things in the best of interest of getting the work done + appreciating things happen - I was not returned with quality of work that was promised. A lot of garden waste has been left, no cleaning as promised before, the work does not basically have a finish. I was given mixed reasons of the fact thaT some seasonal shrubs could not be trimmed, timber and ivy cannot be separated, he would not clear garden general leaves and branches - though none of this was mentioned during the quoting process. In fact I was told it will be - and it was a non negotiable quote.. I thought it was going to be fuss free but feel like the job is a complete let down. Though I tried to double check before paying (where he wouldn leave unless I pay in full, which I was not contradicting in any way - it just did come together. Business transactions needs to a matter of quality delivery and ofc making profit, but in this case it only looked like the latter part is the only motivation.
I texted couple of times after asking if I could be advised on what do with all the waste that has not been cleared - no response.
Ofcourse I am at fault as well for paying in full without perhaps taking a stand.
All in all - very bad experience. Won’t recommend if you are looking for big jobs (ours was) with quality. More...

Darren attended promptly to quote and agreement was quickly arrived at. Work carried out pretty well, it seemed, and – on being invited to call back if any issues – I (foolishly) paid in full. Closer examination soon after showed cutting was not as complete or tidy as first thought, and tidy-up less than thorough too. If only Darren was as reliable as he is personable . . . Two firm arrangements were made for a re-visit to discuss/rectify. Neither was kept. No call, apology or explanation received, and further attempts to contact were ignored.
