Chris has quite frankly performed miracles to help me overcome a fear of heights and loss of control. He was professional and made me feel comfortable at all times during our sessions. I was then able to jump from a power fan which was over 20m high and go down a large zip wire through a forest! Without Chris’s help I wouldn’t have been able to do either of these things and would’ve always regretted missing the opportunities. More...

I have known and worked with Chris for nearly two years now and cannot recommend him highly enough regarding his skills as a Hypnotherapist but also as a man. He actually cares about his clients and this shows in his calm, gentle approach. He brings a wealth of experience and I know that he is very highly qualified in his field but he wouldn't tell you that because he is also very humble! If you are looking for a Hypnotherapist to help you with real issues such as depression and anxiety then you will find no one better than Chris.Underneath his humble, calm exterior is a man with great skill that wil be there for you and help you get you where you want to be,safely with real results. I've now worked with Chris twice. He is excellent at demonstrating just what you need to do as a client to get the best results. I loved his calm and thoughtful manner and his ability to really listen. Chris has many tools and techniques in his therapist repertoire and the desire and resourcefulness to make a difference. I went to see Chris for help with performance anxiety which was affecting my work as a semi-pro musician. I was actually quite sceptical and it was a last desperate attempt to get help. He is a lovely chap, with a calming presence about him, which seems key to his success. He is completely honest and knows his craft so well, he won't pretend to be able to achieve the impossible, but in my case he knew he could help.He spent considerable time explaining how the process worked and by the time I was 'put under' I just knew that it was going to help. His methods include a system of feedback which confirms to him that he is getting through, and as soon as the session was over, I knew that he had helped me without even picking up my guitar. He also gave me some tips on self-hypnosis which helped with insomnia, an unexpected bonus.I couldn't have hoped for better and I highly recommend Chris. More...

Q&As

I love helping people get rid of their problems whether it is a simple phobia or something more complicated like depression. That moment when you ask the client to imagine a future scenario which they would normally find uncomfortable and they cannot feel the fear is really nice.

I never intended to become a Hypnotherapist but have always had a interest in Hypnosis. Back in 2010 I did a street hypnosis course and learned the basics of hypnotising someone and was asked to help my friend's Wife with her spider phobia. I had no Hypnotherapy training at that point but managed to get rid of the phobia and it made me realise that this is what I wanted to do.

To get good lasting results with Hypnotherapy takes time which is why my sessions last up to two hours. It is possible to just hypnotise the client and give them suggestions that the problem will go away and never bother them again but in my experience this only works temporarily and therefore I do not do this. I like to spend time with the client exploring the problem and explaining how the way our minds work can cause these problems. While this takes longer when you help the client to resolve the problem themselves the results are more likely to be permanent.
