Like a lot of people, I do not like going to the dentist, get very nervous at the thought of them so have kept putting it off. Recently having started getting toothache so decided to try Blyton Dental after recommendation from a friend and reading the reviews on the website. All I can say is i am so pleased that I did. What a fabulous group of people from the receptionists, hygienist and the lovely young dental nurse( sorry cannot remember her name) to the fabulous calming Dr Thakore who is covering maternity leave at the moment. 5 stars From the moment I contacted the practice and Spoke to Janet, to having a wisdom tooth out today by Dr Arun Thomas I can honestly say that I have been looked after emotionally as well as professionally by all the team. I had been in pain for over 5 weeks and I wish I had contacted them much sooner. If anyone is nervous out there about the thought of going to a dentist I cannot recommend Blyton Dental Practice enough. If Carlsberg did dentistry they would follow you guys. I cannot recommend Blyton Dental enough. After bad experiences with dentists in the past I am now a very nervous patient. But Raj & Fiona are amazing . They are so kind & patient with me. Raj even wiped my mouth after she carried out 2 extractions. Everyone at Blyton Dental are so good. You get a warm welcome from Janet on reception when you arrive. After snapping my tooth and trying to get it fixed by NHS in my local bupa dentsist - they said I would need to be referred as the extraction was too tricky. 4 weeks later Gloucester dental hospital dept sent me an appointment with a wait (april to september) of 5 months (yes 5 months) before I would even get a counsultation to discuss whats to be done. I called around a few local private surgeries and best they offer was a 4 day wait. My son recommended these guys and they gave me an emergency appt the next morning. They removed the snapped tooth no problem. Very comfortable extratraction. The staff are very helpful, thorough and efficient. Went privately for this procedure. These guys are great so much better than the bupa chain service and less expensive if you are private. If you are in a fix with your teeth dont hesitate, just book here. Pain free in 20mins. After 2 years of being passed around between hospitals and dentists I finally came to blyton and within 4 days my problem that has pained me for so long had gone. I am probably the most nervous patient, crying at an assessment before anything was even done and Raj made me feel so confident, comfortable and relaxed that I went back and had the procedure done on my own and I have no idea what I was so scared about!Absolutely fantastic service, down to earth staff and so so comforting. Joined here after a friend recommended them, from my first visit and check up I was impressed- Lovely fresh and clean surroundings - polite staff - i had a filling and my tooth was literally rebuilt to perfection- had an appointment with the hygienist today and my teeth are gleaming and perfectly clean - easy to get to , sometimes I park elsewhere as car park is only small but such a fab dentist - glad I’ve picked this one - very friendly - very welcoming and overall 10 out of 10

Brilliant dental clinic!! It's the little things that matter, I went to have a mould taken and the lovely lady dentist wiped my face before I left getting any bits off I missed, ensuring patient dignity. Not just the dentist though, after my children had a traumatic experience at another dentist,we registered them in with blyton dental and when I came in for my appointment I brought the kids with me to show them how nice it was and lovely Janet gave them a sticker to show them that a dentist is nothing to be afraid of. What a brilliant dentist, ive had 3 failed attempts to get my tooth extracted due to my anxiety. What can I say? I have finally found a Dental Surgery that cares about its patients. I had been suffering all weekend with a toothache and needing an emergency appointment to get it looked at, I did some research and review reading. Blyton Dental came out tops for patient care and so I gave them a call. Able to see me this morning it was with some trepidation that I entered the surgery having had issues with dentists from childhood. I needn't have worried. From the receptionist Janet to the nurse and lady dentist, everyone was friendly, kind and helpful. I was shown my X-Ray (a first for me) and everything was explained about what treatment I needed. I now have an appointment to have the work done and feel much more at ease about revisiting the dentist in the future. Had the pola teeth whitening, it worked brilliantly. I had it ahead of my wedding and I am so pleased with the results. It was also much cheaper here than at my usual dentist and all the staff at Alkrington were really lovely.
