What do you love most about your job?
It's incredibly rewarding to see my students progress in their Russian learning journey and achieve their goals. Whether it's helping someone improve their conversational skills for a trip to Russia or a Russian-speaking country or guiding a student through advanced grammar concepts for academic or professional purposes, I am passionate about tailoring my lessons to the specific needs and interests of each individual learner. Seeing my students succeed is truly the most fulfilling aspect of teaching Russian.
What inspired you to start your own business?
As a native Russian speaker who has always been passionate about languages, I decided to create To Russian Horizons School to share my knowledge and make a bigger impact on someone's life. Having experienced firsthand how speaking English and Japanese has changed my life, I hope to help my students have a similar experience. It's the possibility of making a difference in someone's life that drives me, and opening the school was a natural extension of that passion.

I currently offer online Russian lessons exclusively. With the changes brought on by Covid-19, I have fully embraced the shift to online education. The benefits of online lessons are numerous - they are convenient, flexible, and allow us to communicate with people from all over the world. I have had the pleasure of teaching students from places such as Australia, the USA, and Europe. With online lessons, we can still achieve the same level of engagement and progress as in-person lessons, while providing the added benefit of learning from the comfort of your own home.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I have great news: my Russian language school has always been a pandemic-safe business, as it's entirely online! You could say that we're the ultimate social distancers. So no need to wear a mask or worry about getting too close to me - unless, of course, I'm on an immersive language learning experience with my students in Russia. Whenever possible, I like to take our lessons beyond the classroom. I also have partnerships with local travel agencies to offer trips to explore the Russian language and culture in its native environment. These trips are a great way to practice your language skills and immerse yourself in Russian culture.
