I would highly recommend Timber Tongs. They carried out a excellent job in my small garden, removing three large Oak trees, in a small amount of space, this was due to the close proximity of not only the trees, which had grown close to each other but other residential properties.
Their skills and knowledge were certainly put to the test and they dismantled the trees with accuracy, planning and diligence .
They were punctual, worked relentlessly hard and every day left the surrounding shared grounds tidy and free of any debris.
They are true professionals in every sense of the word.

Such a pleasure to see professional tree surgeon Pete Tong at work. Before he began topping a huge fir tree obscuring our sea view, Pete checked thoroughly to ensure there were no birds nesting. First of Pete really is one of those chaps that is genuine, honest and very hard working.
We had a huge 80ft oak which was diseased and near the house plus a huge oak to the rear requiring reduction.
Pete turned up bright and early with a team of three plus himself and they did the whole lot in one day.
Returned the following day to grind the stump and clear away he also continued to grind other stumps on the property until he ran out of daylight.
I highly recommend Pete and would not hesitate to use him again.

Tree pruning
From formative pruning on younger trees and fruit trees to larger scale activity on bigger deciduous and, in some cases, coniferous trees.
This includes crown thinning, crown raising and crown reduction in line with British Standard 3998: 2010 Recommendations for Tree Work.
We can help you determine what approach is best for your needs and the health of your trees.
Tree felling
Removing trees as the last option when required, in a safe, controlled manner.
Normally through a straight fell from the ground where space permits or sectional felling in smaller pieces, often lowered to the ground with rigging ropes, where there is more limited access around the tree.
Coppicing & Pollarding
Managing the trees for ongoing harvest in a traditional manner, allowing them to regenerate from their stump or 'stool' in the case of coppicing. Often seen with Hazel, Sweet Chestnut, Willow and Birch.
Pollarding follows a similar logic but at a higher level from the ground where 'knuckles' are developed in younger trees at the points from which the new growth is subsequently managed.
