Hi, My name is Esmeralda Abad, I am a qualified integrative counsellor. I am registered with Members British Association Counselling Psychotherapy (MBACP). Counselling is exploring thoughts and feelings about issues and concerns and having an opportunity to discover how to move forward in life. I use the three main proven approaches used within counselling. Psychodynamic Therapy explores your unconscious to discover how your past experience has informed your future and can involve free association and dream analysis

Person-Centred Therapy (sometimes referred to as humanistic) is interested in your capacity to achieve your potential and believes you know best what works for you. It might look to the past for patterns but also focuses on helping you address present day behavioural patterns and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy mostly focuses on changing your present day behaviour to improve your moods and ability to cope. It focuses on the connection between thought, emotions, actions but perhaps also your physical wellbeing, social skills, and your sense of spirituality.
