About

I am often asked what I specialise in as a therapist, and my response is that I specialise in people. There could be many reasons which have brought you to this point. Perhaps something doesn’t feel right in your life; something has happened which is affecting you or you want to change something but aren’t sure how.

Bereavement Counselling

Emma was very patient and understood that I have to put my counselling on hold for the time being whilst I have my Daughter at home to look after. I wouldn’t be able to concentrate or speak openly if I’m on the phone or zoom etc I will contact Emma in September even though I know I need help now. It is comforting to know that she is there even if I need to get in touch earlier than September. More...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review Ann-Marie, it's very much appreciated.

Q&As

I love working with people and watching them grow over the course of our work together. What brings someone to therapy is unique to them but once the trust is built with me and they feel able to share how they feel - that's when I see a real change.

I enjoy the autonomy of working for myself and that it fits with my personal circumstances as a counselling tutor and wellbeing trainer.

I have been told by clients that I'm easy to talk to and they feel supported by me. I genuinely care for all the clients I work with and I feel this shows in the strong therapeutic relationships I've developed over the years. I don't judge people and create a safe space for people to be honest with me about how they're feeling.

Yes, I provide phone and online counselling via Zoom

I work online or via the phone and have undertaken socially distanced Walk and Talk therapy when this was permitted.

Services

The loss of someone in your life can be life changing and seeking support for this can be really helpful as a way to process your thoughts.

Working with someone to understand where difficult thoughts come from, learn tools and techniques to cope and also being alongside someone when life is difficult can be supportive and part of the healing process.

You may have reached an impasse where you aren't sure what to do or are questioning your current direction. Counselling can be a safe place to explore this.

I work with individuals not couples and can support you make sense of issues in your current relationship or previous relationships.
