Really prompt and professional one-to-one service from Peter. A free consultation let The Write Stuff lay out what they could offer me in terms of CV support, as well as a LinkedIn intro and a cover letter.
Peter then set up a call where he spent over an hour listening thoroughly and asking questions where necessary so he could get a clear picture of where I was currently in my career and where I wanted to go. He then worked on all three services (CV, LinkedIn, Cover Letter) and provided me with any tweaks I required once completed. The end result was superb and (I personally believe) a level above what can be done without professional support and knowledge of the hiring industry.

Peter at 'The Write Stuff'I approached Peter through a recommendation and was told he was the person to talk to about writing a good CV. I have been applying to internships for a few weeks now and was fed up of not getting any responses, so I arranged a consultation with Peter who asked me various questions surrounding career history, desired job field, educational history etc. He asked me in depth questions about these all. After the two hour consultation he said to me that he'd be able to have it completed for the end of the following week. I contacted him within the next two days to see if I can request that he completes it sooner in order to be able to apply to a particular vacancy that I was interested in. Peter then said that he was going to make my CV a priority and had it finished within a day. The CV exceeded my expectation by miles. He researched various roles that I was interested in and incorporated my skill set and my job history in order to appeal to those vacancies. Over the last twenty years, I have established a good reputation for working with my clients towards creating professional looking, bespoke, interview winning CVs, and I gain a great deal of satisfaction in helping clients to succeed in their job search, and achieve their career aspirations.
What inspired you to start your own business?
CV writing has long been an area of confusion and indecision for most people, whether they are school leavers, graduates, career changers or company directors. Whilst most people are encouraged to write their CV themselves, the evidence suggests that this may not be the best way to approach it. Unfortunately, most turn to the internet, which is rife with myths and misconceptions, and a Google search will almost certainly only result in conflicting views, which will leave you more confused than ever. In CV writing - much like anything else - it is better to engage a professional. I was inspired to start my business to help go some way to alleviating people's confusion over CVs, to offer a definitive view and provide them with a complete solution.
Why should our clients choose you?
I work directly with my clients, providing a personal, one-to-one service, and will usually include an informal video/phone consultation to get a true understanding of them and what they do. The results of this personal collaboration are reflected in the quality of the finished CV and the excellent customer reviews I have acquired.

For a really professional CV, you need full CV Compilation using one of our own layouts. We recommend appropriate layouts from our portfolio of original in-house templates and take care of wording, formatting and presentation.
CV Compilation & Consultation
A full consultation via Zoom which can be up to 2 hours in duration. This allows a detailed discussion about your skills, and a thorough exploration of your career aspirations and experience. Includes the full compilation of your new CV using one of our original in-house templates, taking care of the wording, formatting and presentation of your CV to provide you with a carefully crafted, professional document that sells you and your achievements in the best possible light.
CV Appraisal
Not sure if your CV is up to scratch? If you really want to know whether we can add value, send us a copy of your existing CV. If you want expert guidance on tweaking your CV then for a small fee we will carry out a brief appraisal of your CV with feedback via email, to highlight any problems and advise on any simple improvements you can do yourself.
LinkedIn Profile
LinkedIn is a powerful tool for networking and career development, and can be harnessed to assist in your job search. You can keep in touch with your colleagues, customers and wider professional network. With a professionally written profile, LinkedIn can help you keep abreast of where the jobs are and act as a shop window for your potential employers.
Cover Letter
Just as important as the CV itself, a professional cover letter can make all the difference to your job search. We will be pleased to compile a bespoke cover letter along with your CV, whether it is a generic (basic) letter to accompany your CV for multiple applications or a specific (targeted) letter for a one-off vacancy.
CV Makeover
Think your CV is OK? Maybe you have the knack of selling yourself on paper and don't feel the need to completely revise your CV. The CV Makeover is a good way of letting us refine and polish your existing CV without the expense of full CV Compilation.

If you are struggling with those awkward job application forms which require a personal statement or answers to criteria-based questions, we can help. UCAS Personal Statement
Most university applications in the UK are now processed via UCAS (the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service). Part of the application involves writing a personal statement. We can advise on what information should be included and assist in preparing the statement for you.
