We called into The Sweet Box today for a spontaneous lunch date and we weren't dissapointed. I had my very large Wolfdog with me who was very glad of his drink & he thoroughly enjoyed his ham too. My daughter had a croissant which she said 'was possibly the best she'd ever had" 💖 The cakes were divine & the Coffee really delicious 😋. The service was impeccable. Thank-you. Highly recommended! I ordered some macaroons and a brownie from the display today, The staff were very polite even though it was 5 minutes away from the closing time, the packaging that they came in was very upmarket and did the job perfectly! I'd promised my son candy floss from The Sweet Box since we heard of its opening some weeks ago. We finally managed to visit today! They say the best perfumes come in small bottles - exactly how I'd describe this gem of a bakery. I simply couldn't leave without buying some of the unique pâtisseries staring at me from the window shop. They did not disappoint either! Delicate flavours, especially the pear and almond tart - simply beautiful and not something we've tried before. Arrived today 5 mins before closing and had the loveliest greeting! Fabulous staff, welcomed my daughter and I with open arms and were very patient while we agonised over our selection. Ended up leaving with macaroons (raspberry and an Oreo one) and a Black Forest tart. Beautifully wrapped and carried home by the 8 year old like precious treasure. Popped in today.. staff were polite & helpful. Cakes were amazing! Only criticism is that the packaging for take away isn’t great as it sticks to all the icing/glaze and all comes off when opening 🙈
