Really nice sausage sandwich and proper coffee. It's a very nice room, large and airy with plenty of room.

I enjoyed a delicious work buffet lunch.
My favourite food items were the onion bhajis, scotch eggs and the cinnamon pastries!
All of which tasted fresh. Would highly recommend.

A gorgeous little gem of a place. It's so easy to forget that you're in the Castlegate Centre. The most child friendly coffee shop I've ever known. Good coffee, good food, great atmosphere. More...

Great food great service we did an event here with our chocolate fountain, and to be honest we get sneaky views of most kitchens that we have booked for, but the quality of food that was being prepared here was so mouth watering, I couldn't resist, I had to order, thank you, and hey guys when is the next chocolate fountain party? , regards the CANDYKAREN team

Visit on a Saturday afternoon. Have had sandwiches, panini's, toasted tea cakes cooked and prepared as they should be, always fresh and tasty.
Complimented with lovely cups of coffee with free refills. Service always with a smile, tables cleared quickly.
Staff always friendly.
Highly recommend a visit.

Me and my friend come here every week for our dinner and loads of coffees. Staff are all lovely and do anything to please you. A lady called Lindsey is always rushing everywhere working really hard "proper good worker" and she's lovely to talk to. It's nice to see staff who really try and always make you welcome. More...

Love this place. Been a few times now and each time is just as good as the last. I normally visit with my 3 year old son which sometimes can be a stressful thing having lunch alone with a toddler. This place is perfect tho, my son can happily colour in and play with the mass amounts of toys and puzzles which keeps him entertained while I relax with a bit of lunch and cup of tea. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Food is amazing. Been today for a panini which was served with a side of coleslaw, which I'm not keen on but I tried it and was amazed how nice it was. I was tempted to ask for some to take home. Will certainly be visiting again and will recommend to all my friends and family. X More...

Had the small breakfast but it was big enough for me. Make your black pudding thicker and the Tea taste nicer and you're there.

Shared deluxe afternoon tea here recently (01/04/17) and it was amazing! I had previously been in contact with staff via facebook messanger to ensure there would be availability as it was a saturday afternoon. The cafe was busy but we we had our order taken quickly and were provided with our afternoon tea promptly. The staff were super friendly and helpful! The food was gorgeous! Sandwiches were fresh and super tasty.. the cake selection was to die for and the scones were simply fantastic! Both myself and my sister in law left full and happy with our service .. would absolutely reccomend this cafe to anyone who loves tea and cake! More...

Ive never written a review before as Ive never felt satisfied or dissatisfied enough with a service that i would spend my precious time writing about it. The Stottie Company however changed my mind about that this weekend with the best service i have had in my life. I genuinely have not felt more welcome or met such nice people. Atmosphere is amazing, a fantastic place to stop off for lunch and im glad i did. Hand on heart will not eat anywhere else when im up that way again. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Keep doing what you are doing because you do it very well! More...

This place has been our "go to" breakfast spot for about a year now but the last few months have shown a steady decline in quality I had a rock hard sausage a few weeks ago that put me off but the girlfriend persuaded me to go in again today where I got some rubber eggs
Not good sort it out
I have edited after going in again and I must say a massive improvement

I have been here a couple of times and the breakfast has always been good. The price is relatively cheap, not expensive or anything like that. The only thing I would change is the bread, it's pretty lousy to be honest. (Just a heads up, you need to get your own cutlery and order at the counter, they don't tell you this and expect you to know the procedure). More...

I came here for the first time the other day because Gregg's was full yet again but I had walked past this place enough to think "Why not I'll give it a whirl".
So the way this place works is you have to order at the counter, (there is no sign telling you that) and the menu's are on the tables not at the counter . I ended up ordering the small english breakfast which comes with a coffee for an extra pound so in total it was £5.50.
The food came out quick, the small english breakfast is basically just one of everything, one sausage, one egg, one bacon slice etc. I thought the breakfast was ok/good, the only thing bad was the bread/toast it was awful, it looked dry, old and broke apart easy. Everything else was fine, black pudding was well done and I liked the bacon, eggs, hash brown etc.
I would like to come here again and try something else on the menu, it's not mind blowing food but it's pretty good and it's cheaper than what I am used to paying elsewhere.
