The Social Table

We had Richard over to cook for us and 11 guests for my husbands special birthday celebrations. I chose Richard because right from the start he was professional. Compared to the other quotes I got, price wise, he was very reasonable, and his quote came with a very wide menu choice (all sounding delicious of course 😋) and everything else included was clearly laid out, like glassware and table wear etc. This was important to me because having never organised something like this before, it was good to know that these things were all provided, which reduced the amount of extra organising. - none of the other caterers did that, and one told me I would have to arrange any extra staff needs on the night. When you have so much to organise for a celebration, it was reassuring to know that Richard was providing a truly end-to-end service. On the day, he and his assistant both arrived with a smile 😃 and worked seamlessly. We didn’t have to lift a finger all night. (It was lovely not to have to do the cleaning up the morning after) The most important part is THE FOOD! I choose the menu, and asked Richards opinion, he did suggest a little tweak, which I took his advice. Richard also advised me which wines to purchase to best accompany the meal. OH MY GOSH the food was out of this world. When we sat down to eat, I thought that the bread might have been a bit dry after having been in the fresh air for a while… it was delicious. Everything was delicious. There are not enough words to express how EXQUISITE the food was from start to finish. At the end, everything was cleared away and the kitchen was left exactly how they found it. Richard deserves a Michelin star 🌟 I would definitely definitely definitely recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy tremendous food from an extremely skilled chef. Richard made a lockdown anniversary on a Monday really special for us. He was really accommodating at short notice and delivered an absolutely delicious 3 course meal, better than I’ve had in any local restaurant. Amazing fine dining experience at home 5*****, Richard cooked a wonderful valentines meal for my wife , son and I . The scallops were amazing as was the duck main course followed by a wonderful dessert. Accompanying wine was also on point. We would thoroughly recommend The Social Table if you looking for that fine dining experience without leaving home. We will definitely be booking again hopefully with friends allowed to join us!
