We love all animals - big, small, furry, scaly, fluffy, feathery, noisy, timid, boisterous. We care for your pets in the same way as you would and just as you want. Whether it be dog walking, cat sitting, play visits, feeding, holiday care or just providing some pet company, we want your pets to be happy. This makes us happy!
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having grown up with dogs, cats, rabbits and fish in the family home and always having a love of all animals big, small, wild and tame it is now that we can incorporate this passion into our every day work.
We have 3 rescue dogs and one rescue cat in our family and many other smaller family members including gerbils, hamsters, snakes, frogs and fish.
We have experience in keeping many different exotic animals over the years from snakes and lizards to geckos and frogs.
Walking our 3 dogs every morning and afternoon is our favourite time of the day and offering this as a service to other people’s furry family members is our dream job.

We have a fun job but understand the importance of taking care of your pet, when you can’t and we take this responsibility seriously.
We offer tailor-made services to suit both the need of you and your pet.
Before taking care of any new pet, we offer a FREE pre-visit to get to know you and your pet so that we can offer the best care possible.
We operate services 7 days a week so you only need to use one company.
We aim to give you regular updates on your pet so you don’t miss out on their fun and frolics.
We are fully insured and police checked.
The welfare of your pet comes first. We never walk more than 4 dogs at a time so we can provide the care that they deserve.
Keys are kept safely locked away at all times and are never labelled with your address.
Dog Walking
Every dog is an individual so at The Pet People we offer one to one walks or group walks of up to 4 dogs, depending on your dogs sociability.
The areas we cover for dog walking include Romsey, Ampfield and surrounding areas.
Cat Sitting
Whether it be for a holiday, weekend away, business trip or company for new kittens, we can pop in and visit your cat at home, provide fresh food, clean litter trays and provide cuddles and playtime. We want to make sure your VIP is purfectly happy.
Dog/Puppy Visits
Our dog/ puppy visits allow your dog to be cared for in their own home. One of our dedicated pet sitters can come in once or twice a day.
Our dog/ puppy visits include feeding, playtime, keeping your dog company, letting your dog out for the toilet and cleaning up any doggy mess.
Our dog/ puppy visits are ideal if you have a young puppy, an elderly dog or a dog who requires medication.
Pet Sitting
We know small and exotic pets are just as important as big pets so when you need to spend time away from them we can pop in and make sure they have everything they need to be happy. Our pet sitting covers feeding, providing fresh water and cleaning small pet poops!
While visiting your pet we can also water plants, put your bins out and open or close the curtains to give the impression the house is occupied.
