Just have to say how impressed we were as a party of six people on our first visit to The Old School House last night . From the moment we arrived we were greeted and made very welcome by the staff . Big thanks to Debbie who took time to go through the menu with us and explain the dishes . The food was excellent from a great varied menu . The tables were nicely spaced which created a very airy and relaxed atmosphere . After our meals were finished we appreciated how we weren’t being rushed but were able to sit and chat over coffee and again Debbie took time to spend with us and other tables which we all thought was a nice touch . Good job The Old School House . We think you have ticked all the boxes and we will be recommending you to friends and family . More...

I’ve eaten here twice and both times the food was spectacular! Fantastic staff - my son left his phone behind and as we live about 2 hours’ drive away, the waitress who found it (Caoimhe) posted it back, out of her own pocket!! We will definitely be back 😀

Had a beautiful meal on Friday 6th August 2021, hake with veg and garlic potatoes and buttermilk chicken burger with salad and fries. For desert we had two portions of fruit roulade and ice cream. The food was amazingly beautiful. We had this food as a takeaway meal. Rather than serve it in takeaway boxes, we were provided with the meal on restaurant plates as it would be served in house. A very nice thought and touch by the waiting staff. This of course gave us cause to return for breakfast on Saturday 7 August. This was also gorgeous and set us up for the day. Communion day in our house. Peter couldn't be more helpful.. Food delivered to the house, piping hot and set up ready to serve. . Food 5* as always, whether its sitting in or for a home catering event cannot recommend this place highly enough. More...
