Anyone who knows me, knows I hate going to the gym, or any sort of exercise! Not anymore!! The Mint yard has changed my outlook and I actually look forward to going. ( even at 6am) James is the best, so patient and encouraging and boy I needed encouraging. I had a 21 day course which was mainly weights and hiit, it was brilliant. The Mint Yard is life changing!!! I hated any sort of exercise with a passion, James, Elliott and Jaqui have changed the way I think about things 100%. I was scared stiff on my first session, but they welcome you like an old friend. They make you feel comfortable and not at all intimidating. James is just the nicest guy and so patient and encouraging, he really gets you working!(My nickname for him - the smiling assassin) I had a 3 week course lost over 5 inches which may not sound a lot but for me is amazing! I never in a million years thought I would use weights, let alone enjoy them! I’m going to really miss the session but will see you Thursday for Beech Booty!!! More...

Trained at the mint yard Friday evening with Elliot. Fantastic session of squats, chest and some great analysis of my technique given by him.
Unlike other PTs Elliot is NOT a shouty instructor who makes you feel inadequate. He does quite the opposite, instantly making you feel at ease.
He prescribed some pistol squat lifts to practice to strengthen the glutes. Elliot's style and presentation makes training something to look forward to and much much more effective.
I wholly recommend him to any one. Male or female fit or not. He will train you in a way that you will learn how to enjoy training, no matter what you level, experience or target.

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
We work with all of our clients. You will never be left to try to understand anything, it will always be fully explained. We use science based programmes to get you to achieve your goals. Your bespoke programme will be designed with you, so you can achieve it and you have all the skills and tools necessary to complete the programme and change your life.
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
Consistency is key. Its a way of life its not a fad.
What do you love most about your job?
I love seeing someone change, not just physically but mentally and emotionally. The biggest reward is seeing someone come to a party in a dress they said they wouldn't ever wear. Or to know they went on holiday and took their top off or wore a bikini with confidence. Seeing someone change mentally and change the way they perceive themselves is the biggest reward you could ever have.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I wanted to reach out more into the community and have people enjoy health. I wanted to have people doing something they love, trying new challenges, meeting new people and creating a new exciting part of their life.
I hate normal, boring gym ways of life. Not talking to people, headphones in, and they stereotypical people who put you off the gym, thats what I want to get rid of and change the way people perceive the gym.
