Basically, they never did what was agreed.
1. Surveyor came, and we agreed on what would happen.
2.Fitter failed to attend.
3.Fitter arrived, spent 2.5 hours, and left the job done.
4. Checked the work. It was shockingly bad.
5. After numerous phone calls and messages, I was told a surveyor would be out to check the installation.
6. The surveyor fails to turn up.
7. The surveyor attends and says the installation was bad and needed to be removed and re installing.
8. Fitter failed to attend.
9. Fitter arrived, spent 3.5 hours, and said it was all finished and left.
10. I checked that the loft had been re done, and it had been fitted higher. But it was just as bad as the 1st install. This time, they had cracked my ceiling.
11. Told I was wrong the cracks where not were they had been working (directly below, where they fitted the storage floor).
12. Numerous messages and phone calls to in the end I had decided I had allowed them enough chances and time to correct it.
13. Contacted bank who are investigating the whole thing including contract, messages, telephone calls, photos from before and after 1st install, and 2nd install.
14. So I have received my money back, from my credit card company, while this is investigated.
Best advice use your credit card, and be careful who you let do work on your property. I have no words I can say on here about The Loft Doctor other than customers be aware of Rogue companies. More...

When the surveyor came to measure he did not enter the loft only sticking his head through the hatch, the contract stated a specific amount of boarding and insulation from his guesstimation, this was inaccurate as when the works were finished installation was not completed in full only partly. Also the insulation did not comply with building regulations as all the installers had done was roll 100 mil over the joists making it look like a full insulation, also under the boards in three full sections there was no insulation, absolutely appalling company. Fitters were excellent, but the survey was mis-leading, after inspection we thought we could have a larger hatch and ladder fitted. Within 2 minutes of the team arriving to fit we were told that it wasn't possible. We were also told that this would help when we eventually get a lift conversation and the fitter who is experienced in this area, also said that was a fabrication. We paid half upfront and had to negotiate a change after, we only used them as we had to get the loft boarding done before the holiday weekend.

BE WARY OF THE SURVEY they aren't aware of the logistics, they are sales people nothing more. More...
