The Lazy Pig Ltd

I think it’s fair to say that I have mixed reviews about the Lazy Pig and the service we had at our wedding. We have received lots of positive comments about the food from our guests, but from a communication and planning point of view working with Adam provided unnecessary stress in the run up to the wedding. He did not provide any planning or much communication in terms of making sure the food service ran smoothly. I had to ask him what sorts of plates/ set up he needed. However, we did receive swift and detailed responses in defence of him increasing our total price ‘in line with national inflation’. After our wedding, about 6 weeks ago, I emailed my thoughts to Adam, but am yet to receive a response. We also had long delays between emails in the weeks before the wedding and were made to feel very anxious when Adam emailed asking for a copy of our booking confirmation 4 days before the wedding. He also was vocally negative about site access even though he was the only supplier who did not do a site visit. Positives: - Lots of food (more on this though) - A few of the waiting staff were really friendly - Adam was happy to update menu when our ideas changed over the course of wedding planning. - Adam was happy to do a menu tasting (at an extra cost) Negatives: - Two vegan guests were not catered for and told ‘the bride did not order for you’ despite two emails, a verbal conversation and a detailed seating plan with dietary requirements outlined. - Agreed canapé menu not served (we aren’t sure about the correct quantity either) - Sharing starter was not exactly as agreed menu described - ‘Skin on wedges’ were wedges found in freezer aisle at most supermarkets - Frozen cheesecake served to guests (including bride) More...

The " Lazy pig team " came to our facility to cater for an event we have had for previous 6yrs, by far they managed to deliver the best event to date in the history of it taking place, the food was lush and the service was second to none.

The Lazy Pig provided all the food for our 2 day wedding, and we cannot recommend or thank them enough. They were AWESOME in every way. To Adam and Sarah. We cannot thank you enough for catering for our wedding on Saturday. It was truly a day to remember. Everyone said how amazing the hog roast was and how the canapés were to die for. Having table service made everything so easy. Nothing was too much trouble for them. This outdoor Wedding caterer truly went above and beyond to ensure our Wedding day ran as smoothly as it did!Free flowing drinks, managed bar service (hired External bar but ran by TLP) glasses were never empty and the food was absolutely SCRUMPTIOUS! Adam and his team catered for our wedding a couple of weeks ago, and did a FANTASTIC job. Throughout the planning process, Adam maintained excellent communication, helping us to plan and tailor our menu perfectly. The Lazy Pig also offer taster sessions before you buy; we tried everything we wanted to order and every element was delicious. On the day, the service and food did not disappoint. The team were there early to set up and began serving canapes bang on time. Our guests raved about them afterwards - especially the mini burgers! For our starter, we had the Greek mezze platter, which was excellent, particularly the lamb skewers - juicy, herby and complemented with a mean tzatziki. Our vegan guests were also very happy with the chargrilled veg selection. For main, we had the paella, which was just as smoky and flavoursome as when we'd first sampled it. Guests also said they enjoyed the fun of a non-traditional wedding meal. The tea and coffee (an additional thing we added as an afterthought) was even better than expected, as Lazy Pig offered a really nice wide selection of tea. Finally, dessert (I had the tiramisu) was also delicious, and the ideal end to the feast. Throughout the day, the team worked really hard to make sure everything stuck to schedule, that the guests were happy, and that the food remained an exceptional quality. I'd definitely recommend. The Lazy Pig did the catering for our wedding on 18th August. A selection of canapes, a Summer BBQ with slow cooked beef brisket and a Cornish style afternoon tea, all for around 100 people. The food was amazing, more than enough food for everyone, and it was served quietly and efficiently. The variety of food was wonderful, I don't know how they managed it. It was presented beautifully and the staff were polite, friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. We had gluten free and vegetarian who were also catered for perfectly. Many of our guests told us that the food was delicious. We would highly recommend Lazy Pig for any weddings or other events.
