Try the Larder Bake breakfast. A bit pricey, but keeps you going all day. Unlike some of the cheaper locations on Wanstead High Street, the larder uses very high quality ingredients. The only downside is the parents, who think we are there to mind their kids whilst they discuss the transition from Hackney! As a dad myself, I was always taught children should be seen and not heard! Perhaps a door between the kids area and adults would help. Love kids, just couldn’t eat a whole one. More...

Love the larder. Great food and family friendly. Wish it was open later! The only negative I have is the play area for the children never appears to be cleaned. The toys are so dirty as is the drawers and floor. If you’re going to have a children’s area it should really be cleaned. More...
