We booked online. That went well. Arrived and the table that was booked was not our name! Order taken for scampi & one cheeseburger. One was supposed to have chips & one French fries. We got both with chips. Scampi disappointing but the burger was great. All around you could hear mistakes had been made eg cold chai latte, no bacon on burger etc. Our finished plates were ignored for 10 plus minutes. We asked for a menu but our plates sat there. We sat there for another 10mins being ignored and then we left. My husbands fourth visit over 6 months and every time the service has let them down. Visiting from Yeovil. Really enjoyed our coffee in The Kitchen on Silver Street. On a rainy day me and my parents just wanted a hot coffee and escape the rain, and literally went in the first place we fell over. The Kitchen is very warm and welcoming, with a rustic and vintage charm. There were plenty of cakes on offer (which made Dad happy) and the coffee was good quality (i believe a local brand?) and a nice big cup!
