I've just left from having a meal with friends for my birthday, we found the service really slow and when we ordered there was alot if things not avaliable on the menu which was a small as it was anyway. The main meal were nice but potion size was really small for the price. We had deserts which I had already seen on Instagram what I was going to choose and when I turned up looked nothing like it and tasted really bland and for £8 was a waste of money. Just left and won't return. Food was not worth the money. Everything that we wanted was not available. Service was terrible and when we asked forService charged to be removed the waiter questioned us. Will never go again or recommend

Such a shame , food was okay but service not so great. Asked lady maître d' to swap table as we were by walkway. Lots of huffing and “people may of booked the other tables” ( wasn’t very busy) so eventually we just sat at walk way table - then she came and said oh if we moved quickly as the couple were due any minute we could have the other table ( other tables also available) couple for other table never materialised for the next hour and half ( or on other tables ) young staff very polite but need to be told not to chew bubble gum and pop it and play with hair while they are cleaning glasses . The restaurant was absolutely freezing where we were placed. 3rd table from the rear. Took forever for the drinks to arrive. Food was nice but the portions very small for the price. I had the sea bream beautifully presented, but only 2 tiny filets. Decor is lovely, music has a good vibe. I am a corporate event director and travel all over the world booking restaurants & hotels. Visited last night for the first and last time. A very bad experience with the manager's behaviour. Rude, aggressive, belittling, shouting, finger pointing to a member of the bar staff. Dreadful, bully boy behaviour in front of customers and a packed bar. He would benefit from some training in employee relations and anger management. Shame on him. We’d not Eaten in Hertford so was very lucky to stumble across this gem of a place. Beautiful decor, very romantic & that little bit special. We had a beautiful meal and the drinks were gorgeous. The drink menu is like a book - so many different drinks to try - we will try to work our way through it 🤣 the staff are friendly and nothing was too much. We would definitely recommend 😄
