Lovely family meal on Sunday evening for my son’s 18th birthday. Food was delicious, a lovely atmosphere & our serving staff, especially the lady who served the birthday cake, were very friendly & efficient.

Went for a family meal on Sunday. Food was okay - service quite slow and disorganised. Beef starter was supposed to be slow cooked but was very tough, same for beef main was very chewy. We just had our wedding here and we had the most incredible day!!! Caorlan went above and beyond right from the beginning to help us organise our day. We had our whole wedding here (ceremony and all!) the day flowed so smoothly and even when our cake collapsed, the chefs fixed it up and made it look amazing. We had our wedding reception here last week and it was incredible! Caorlan was amazing and so helpful and made it all very easy to organise particularly as my previous venue had cancelled with 6 weeks notice! The food was delicious and ALL of the staff (right down to the prep cooks) were very helpful and friendly at every stage of the process and made everything run smoothly on the night. Thankyou so much for the beautiful food and fab service by the lovely Emily for my daughters 18th. We were a big party and could not have faulted it at all. food was quickly served with starters for the children. I went to the Halfway House this evening I had won a voucher on Facebook for this restaurant. A very friendly atmosphere and the very efficient Chloe looked after us. Came to watch the rugby and grab a bite.. Steak sandwich was great, staff a bit slow though behind the bar (sports bar) ad a bit of a wait between drinks or we had to go searching for a barman.. 🙄

My sister recently held her wedding reception at the Halfway House and I was lucky enough to be bridesmaid. It’s very rare for me to give a 5* rating but I can honestly say that Stephanie the wedding reception co-ordinator was exceptional! Her attention to detail was second to none, which left the bride and groom confident that their special day would be professionally catered for. The reception venue itself had just been refurbed to a high standard and of many weddings that I have been a guest at The Halfway House and Stephanie stand head to head with it’s one to one customer care that so often is lost these days.
The food was beautiful and of a very high standard and a thankyou to the chef for having to cook on one of the hottest days of the year!! A thankyou also to the bar staff and waiting staff who were friendly and happy to help with any request. Finally I know the bride Mrs Heather Burns would like me to say a huge thankyou for all the help and guidance she recieved. Happy to recommend to anyone thinking of a wedding or family function...Stephanie will most definitely make it perfect. � More...

Went to HalfWay House today for dinner.. was very disappointed with the food.. my friend got the Solomon it was small.. roast potatoes burnt an veg hard. We visited here on Sunday -a beautiful summery afternoon and the staff could not have been more accommodating-we arrived with a 4 month old puppy and were able to sit outside and have dinner -the staff checked on us several times to ask if we needed anything else and were good enough to bring us water for the pup -lovely food and huge portions -the steak was 10oz but looked bigger - the friendly staff are a real bonus ????

Food is fantastic cannot be beaten would have 5 stars but service was a bit slow for not a lot of people in and bar staff kept throwing empty bottles in bin causing everyone to jump. We will be back though love it.

I had my 30th Birthday party last night 31/3/18 Easter weekend in the private function room there was 33 of us and 5 children I can’t recommend the halfway House enough the food was superb the service was fantastic the lady Steph that organised the party was so helpful from start to finish the whole evening was excellent thank you so much for making my birthday party a night to remember �

We had an excellent meal. Both of us chose steaks which were cooked to our asking and our sides were very tasty especially the champ which was creamy as good champ should be. Perhaps the onion rings were sightly over done but this is just a small criticism. The staff were both friendly and attentive. This was my second visit within a 4/5 week period and I will definitely be back again soon and I will also be recommending to my family and friends. ???????????? More...

I held a surprise 40th birthday party here in January (6th) and as a venue it was excellent. The food, service and room were all superb and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Even though I organised everything during the very busy Christmas period Stephanie always took time to speak to me and just took all the stress out of the organisation. I have held a couple of celebrations in the function room at the Halfway House recently and I cannot recommend them enough! Held a birthday dinner for 33 adults and 3 children at the halfway house on friday 5th Jan 2018. The service was superb and food delicious. Can not recommend this place enough! We had my mum's 60th birthday dinner here on Friday night and they went above and beyond by decorating the room and tables at no extra cost along with complimentary tea coffee and orange juice. The food was out of this world and all the meals came out piping hot! The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much! To have our own room meant the kids that where there could run around and no worries about annoying any other customers! Will definitely be returning More...
