I have just had my leaky gutters and downpipes replaced and thanks to Simon's recommendation of a specific type, the new guttering looks really good and should drain the water away much more efficiently than before. The quotation matched others that I had been given and was very fair considering that access was difficult and it was not a simple job. The work was completed before expected, which was a bonus. I was kept completely up to date with everything, communication was superb. The fitters were absolutely top notch and went above and beyond expectations. Over a year after the guttering had been fitted we noticed that the gutters were overflowing. The Gutter and Cladding Company came back to investigate the problem and discovered that the cause related to a blocked soakaway which had not been previously detected. From quote to installation, the whole process was handled professionally. The guys who did the installation (cladding three dormers and fascia, soffits & guttering to them) were very professional, and cleaned everything away at the end of the job. Booked in June for August fitting, however subject to several delays (rumoured be due to it being a smaller job). Eventually fitted in October by 2 really good guys. Was left with scaffolding for a week after the work was complete, which made house access awkward. Again guys doing the work were good at what they do. Firstly a big thank you to Tyrone and Ben who fitted to new cladding to our home in some seriously high temperatures. The standard of cutting was very precise and neat. Big thank you to Michelle who kept me well informed throughout. The job did over run on time for a few reasons. Firstly the quantities of materials order fell short from initial site inspection. Secondly, it would have been helpful to have been shown the joining options during our site inspection to connect the cladding planks along the short edge. This left myself and my wife having to make spare of the moment discussions on something that could have been made easier with a little more thought before the job was started. What inspired you to start your own business?
I started this business after being an installation engineer for 20 years and realised all i was doing was making other peoples businesses a success because of my workmanship and hard work, so i started a Check A Trade account and from there it has grown from strength to strength and i am now the largest dedicated Fascia and cladding company on the south coast with 4 installation vans and 12 staff.
