Our first visit on a recommendation of a friend. Lovely setting, beautifully kept, clean and inviting. Indoor and outdoor seating both sides of the pub area. Lovely sunny afternoon spent eating fresh lovely sandwiches and chips, drinking good cask ales and catching up with friends. The staff were helpful, friendly and caring. The manager even brought his dog down to distract the toddler who was uncharacteristically upset about something, it worked and she was back to her cheerful self in no time. More...

Gorgeous food, lovely atmosphere, friendly service. I went with my partner and 11 month old for a birthday celebration and thoroughly enjoyed the experience from start to finish. I had the lamb rump which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. My partner had the chicken ballotine, also beautifully cooked and presented. Would definitely go again and have recommended to other family members. Mid priced food at a very high standard which I would expect to find in a much more expensive establishment. More...
