I have just adopted a 6 month old Cavachon puppy and he looked like a sheepskin rug on legs. I’d managed to cut his fringe so he could see a bit better but he was in dire need of a groom. The Fairy Dog Mother was recommended to me by a friend who has two lovely groomed dogs. Kaye grooms at your home so there was no anxiety for my puppy, she talked to him all the way through and took a lot of time with him. He did very well but by the time his face was being done he’d had enough and was getting fractious. I think she did a marvellous job and have already booked her to groom the puppy and my other, 11 year old dog. I would certainly recommend her. More...

Extremely pleased with the ‘midway makeover’ tidy up that Kaye has done on our Irish Terrier Kerry. I can see Kerry’s beautiful brown eyes again, her beard is smart and her paws will be a lot easier to clean. What do you love most about your job?
I love my clients fur babies. I love grooming one on one and gaining the dogs trust over time. I’m a fanatic animal lover!!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started my career with animals when I was very young and when I left school I worked as a veterinary nurse for a year. My career path changed dramatically for many years but I always dreamed of working with animals again so when I lost my job it gave me the perfect opportunity to follow my heart and start again!
Why should our clients choose you?
I’m flexible and personable.
I’m very patient and have a natural ability to make a dog trust me.
My service offers an alternative to your pet if they are timid, elderly or scared around other dogs. My clients love that their dogs are calmer in their own home.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Masks must be worn if we are in same room and social distance applied. Preferably once I have set up client should leave the room until I have finished.
I am also asking clients to bath their dog prior to my arrival. A £5 reduction off the final bill is applied.
