I absolutely would recommend The Doggy Hotel and Bakery. Alfie my adorable dog loves other dogs. Since moving to Stokenchurch from Liverpool, he hadn’t been himself because he missed the group walks he used to go on up north. Now he his back to his energetic, happy self. What a wonderful place! Emily loves dogs and dogs love Emily! Our two - Spence and Mini love going to the Doggy Hotel. The walks are fantastic, the other doggie friends are a lot of fun and they are made to feel part of the family home. Just what you want when you go away. Emily knows a heck of a lot about dogs and keeps you updated via her wonderful FB page, so you get to see what they're up to while you're away. The doggy hotel and bakery is heaven sent!
I'll admit that i can be a bit over protective of my cocker spaniel Cas, proper fur baby, so i was very nervous to leave him for the first time.
Emily made it all so easy! Putting my mind to rest with pictures and videos with regular updates! Cas loves her :) He had a great time and im not sure he wanted to come home!!
If you want a home away from home for your pooch them Emily is perfect!

I cannot tell you how relieved and happy I am to have found Emily and the Doggy Hotel and Bakery. I will admit it.... I am a neurotic mother! ! I worry about Percy whenever he is away and miss him dreadfully!! But he has just had the best 5 days and has so obviously had such fun. Seeing photos of him is so reassuring and just great to know and see how much he is enjoying himself and what lovely new friends he is making. My husband and I just returned from honeymoon and we were extremely nervous about leaving Ace our Pugalier for a whole month! Especially because we couldn't find one place to take him for the whole time. We had to split the time between two doggy hotels. Emily put our mind at ease as she was able to pick up Ace from his other carer, no problem! We would often wonder how Ace was doing and if he was alright but with daily pictures and videos posted on Facebook, we knew we had absolutely nothing to worry about. Ace was having the time of his life!! He had so many new doggy friends and got to explore loads of beautiful places on his daily walks. We could see Ace was getting on very well. All the other reviews are spot on when they say how much Emily cares about each and every dog like they are her own! Ace was having such a good time we started to wonder if he even missed us! But that's exactly what you want for your doggy while you're away. I have always been adverse to the idea of anyone other than me or my husband walking our dogs - so to occasionally hand over their leads to a dog walker was a very uncomfortable prospect initially. However, Emily is absolutely fantastic! I trust her implicitly to keep my dogs safe, and to continue their training rather than undoing it. They always have a fantastic time with her, and it's a great chance for them to interact with lots of other dogs. Our dog has just returned home after a weeks holiday, it was so lovely looking at the pictures and videos Emily posts on a daily basis. Emily was absolutely fantastic with our dog during a difficult time. She was so flexible with when she could take him, and really made us feel comfortable that he was being well cared for and very, very happy.
The photos on the Facebook page really helped us see just how well looked after our dog was, and when he came home he tried to jump back in Emily's car and go back with her!

What do you love most about your job?
Having been in the Pet Care Industry for over 15 years the answers could go on for a long time! I get to see every breed, size and age of dog you can imagine! I also get to meet their amazing owners too, some of my clients have been with me since the start of my business (2001), I am lucky to have loyal clients who I have built a very good relationship with. All of these factors make my job very rewarding.
All the dogs in my care are treated just like my own. I love having different doggies from all types of background to look after, meeting new clients and getting to know dog and owner is something I really enjoy.
Seeing rescue dogs in my care come out of their shell with other dogs and/or people with the socialising I offer in a sensible experienced environment is something that really is rewarding.
I get immense satisfaction seeing the puppies I look after grow into well behaved confident dogs.
I enjoy doing basic training using modern reward based training methods
What inspired you to start your own business?
Where to start! I grew up with various animals including our many Border Collies so Dogs have always been a part of my life since birth. I enjoyed attending training classes and agility with them. I always wanted my own dogs to be with me as much as possible every single day so in 2001 I started my carer in the Professional Canine world.
In 2002 I worked for a high profile family as a personal Dog Keeper, due to the experience and natural way I have with dogs I was offered the role long term and worked for the family for 7 years, I was then in turn recommended to other high profile clients and found myself in demand. As time went on I realised there was a niche for the services I was thinking of offering to other people, it was then that I decided to take on new clients and work for myself rather than be in a employed role.
