Out of hours response was excellent. Not only was the tooth problem dealt with but an excellent explanation was given. More time was spent explaining the situation with advice than was spent on the tooth. I was very grateful for this. As an aside, I am a psychotherapist who treats phobias - would definitely suggest this practice for anyone with excessive fear of dentistry. I had a wisdom tooth that had been causing me severe mouth pain for the last 4-5 days. After calling around 6 other practices I found The Dentist and managed to get an appointment within the hour (I called at 9:10 and had an appointment at 9:40). Turns out my wisdom tooth had no room to come through any further so was impacting on my back molar, causing swelling and horrible pressure pain. This was my first ever ‘proper’ dental procedure. As someone that’s always had pretty good teeth and never needed work done, the thought of having a tooth extracted was petrifying! Rikki was AMAZING; super friendly and understanding, he explained everything and had the tooth out in minutes (once the anaesthesia had kicked in). The injections themselves were a breeze too and he was really careful to hide any scary instruments before he used them, which I thought was a brilliantly thoughtful touch! I ended up here last night after having excruciating tooth ache for 2-3 days and not being able to get an immediate appointment with my usual dentist. I drove all the way from Redditch to go here after the pain became unbearable. After speaking with 111, desperately trying to source a dentist, and them failing to help, my partner sourced this place by chance. I called up feeling deflated and in agony, and the lovely receptionist gave me an appointment within the hour. It was totally worth the drive! I was made to feel at total ease, the dentist was calm and professional, and explained the procedure in great detail. A totally refreshing experience, after having such an extensive procedure such as a root canal, (first time) I wasn’t in any pain or discomfort throughout or after the procedure. I have woken up today slightly sore (which was already advised �) but the terrible tooth ache has totally gone. I honestly must say if you wasn’t such a distance, I would be more than happy for this place to be my regular dentist’s. thanks for restoring my confidence in dentists! Brilliant. I had a broken tooth that i was really nervous and scared about and needed an emergency appointment. The dentist were lovely from the frendly lady on front desk who reassured me to the dentist himself who even though im not a child praised me and really coached me through my extraction and explained what he was doing as he went along. Rhikki, his nurse and the receptionist are very friendly and welcoming. I only ever go when I am in pain ( fear of dentist. ...please don't take it personally) and everytime he takes the time to explain fully what the problem is and my options. Instead of sending me away with antibiotics and come back in a week he starts the treatment straight away if I wish. Upon finding my wisdom tooth had erupted Dr Riki removed my tooth for me the same day. Although sceptical at first, this was very helpful as it prevented me being nervous before hand and I feel more at ease about going to the dentist now. I had to go back for further check ups during the healing of the tooth and given treatment to prevent infection. I did have a bit of a struggle with the first lady answering the phone. But I rang again and one of the receptionists Ellie was very helpful and friendly. Overall I found this surgery to be professional, fairly quick at getting me booked into appointments and more friendly than others I have been to in the past. Got me in same day as a new client and extracted my tooth (First time having one taken out - I was really worried) They were all lovely. The receptionist is great and really calming and accommodating, The dentist was really nice, and literally took my tooth out within 45 seconds of the pliers going into my mouth? Always hated the dentist ever since I was young, I get such stomach churning anxiety. Probably not helped by the fact that my old dentist was vile. Today though, dare I say it ...
