Woke the other morning to see the dreaded folder and question mark, following opening my MacBook :( Following amazing service with my son's laptop, a few months ago, went straight to The Computer People, and by the end of play, that day, my precious vintage 2012 MacBook Pro (or my reliable silver lady, as I fondly refer to her as. Computer and IT companies often don't have the best of reputation. They seem to charge a lot for something we do not know a lot about. Imagine my surprise when asking for the best laptop for the work I do - I was asked what laptop I had! Why? Because they suggested swapping the existing disk drive for an SSD drive and an upgrade of the RAM. Not only did it save me a lot of money - it was all done within the day! At the same time they found that the laptop battery had started to 'bubble' - never knew they would or could, but they showed me...The new battery is now on order. Oodles of money and much time saved - and no redundant laptop either :-) More...

Last Thursday my laptop "died" i could not access any part of the system and after googling the issue (via my ipad) believed it to be the hard drive. The laptop got taken in the shop and on Tuesday - having replaced the hard drive and recovered all my files it is back with me. They did a great job, it is a "new" bit of kit that is operating better than when it was brand new! - thank you for a great, friendly and efficient service!!! More...

What do you love most about your job?
The fact we can bring a smile back to customers faces when we repair a device they think is completely dead for a price they can afford.
What inspired you to start your own business?
We believe that old fashion customer service is everything, and found that a lot of the business we worked for didnt always have that in mind. Working for myself means i can provided the service i want to the stardards that i would expect to receive
Why should our clients choose you?
We always try to do what is right for the comstomer, we will fix things where it is appropriare, we will always give you a price for a repair, and let you know if we think the machine is not worth the cost involved in repairing it. An example would be a laptop with a failing hard drive, yes we can replace the hard drive and bring the machine back to life, but if it is 15 years old then maybe a replacement would be better, We believe if giving you all the facts and letting you make the final decision.

We can provide some services online, we also have a moble technician who can come to you and either fix the issue or pickup the device to bring it back to us.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We have started a doorstep box pickup and drop off, we will call you when we are outside your house if you are isolating. we put a box on your doorstep that has been sanitised, we then step away and get you to put device in the box and close your door, we will then pick it up and bring it to the office. The machine is then fixed and sanitised and brought back to you they sasme way. We also have masks and sanitiser in the shop if you want to use it when you come in. We do clean down handles on doors in the office
Disk upgrade to SSD - Solid State Disk
Many computers were supplied with mechanical hard disks as the main method of storage. These spin at a rate of 5400 or 10000 rpm, and are subject to performance degradation and failure especially with Windows 10 and more recent Apple operating systems.
We can clone these to disks made with no moving parts - just memory chips. Your data, favourites, passwords and programs remain just as they were, but it runs so much faster, you won't believe it's the same computer.
We have had to replace disks in computers made since 2019 because of premature failure, and the owners have been delighted with the performance improvement that they have sent several friends along for the same treatment :-)
Prices start from just under £200 (inc. VAT) and vary dependent on size of disk required.
We only use SSD's from major manufacturers such as Samsung and Micron/Crucial to ensure the best performance and longevity.
Laptop screen replacement
We can replace screens in laptops, Chromebooks and MacBooks so don't put up with cracks and lines on your screen when it can be repaired.
Prices vary dependant on screen but usually range between £100 and £130 inc. VAT
Consumer Remote Support
We install a remote agent on your machine, allowing us (with your permission) to connect to the system and resolve issues, and provide training remotely with minimum fuss. Included with this service is management of your Microsoft Windows updates to ensure your operating system is kept up to date to minimise vulnerabilities.
The service costs £12/month, with any support time separately charged.
Business Remote monitoring and proactive maintenance
Remote support and 24x7 remote monitoring, with 15 minute performance monitoring checks to ensure system patched and kept at peak performance. Proactive monitoring gives advance warning of problems, allowing you to schedule maintenance before it fails. Windows updates and anti-virus monitoring included as part of the service. Prices start from £30/computer/month
Business class Anti-virus
We deploy SentinelOne software which is the Next Generation of security product. It protects against ransomware, known and unknown malware, trojans, hacking tools, memory exploits, script misuse, bad macros, and living off the land attacks.
It has a patented rollback mechanism that reverses any un-authorised changes and restores data affected by an attack.

Refurbished laptops and desktops
If your computer is just too old, has died or you just need another machine, we supply refurbished business-grade computers and include the migration of your existing data to the new machines - PC or Mac.
Laptops, MacBooks, iMac's and desktop PC's supplied.
They are all built using Solid State Disks (or NVMe equivalents) and patched up to the latest operating system version available at the time.
