Busy Saturday afternoon before Xmas. Great atmosphere superb service with knowledge and humour. 5 of us stayed there 3 hours. Food very good and tasty

The first thing you notice when you enter is the beautifully intoxicating aroma of spices and roasted garlic. The food itself more than meets expectations, the mutton curry had glorious, rich, earthy tones and was perfectly matched with charry but sweet peshwari. Lovely Indian food, served by very friendly and professional people.We tried their king Thalis (lunch menu), beautiful collection of authentic Indian food. Really loved it, we had chicken and sea bass curry.... Both tasty and good portions.We finished with pistachio kulfi I've cream and banana fritters, again delicious.Where we sat was really nice and comfortable, not too close to others and atmosphere great for having a nice chat.Thoroughly enjoyed everything! Having seen it win a contest between two other finest of the uk Indian restaurants on tv,I decided with my friend of 55 years to make a trip from London to Brighton to celebrate. An 8 minute walk from the station, we arrived at jubilee street, greeted by great staff and shown to our table( we had made a 1 o’clock lunch reservation) we were seated and served by a very knowledgeable waiter of the food on the menu..no rush at all .The place is fun decor, relaxed Indian ,colourful, backed by the sounds of India.All that we ate was fresh clean and the quality to a 5star Hotel standard .We drank Indian beer and had more than enough sharing poppadoms starters and main courses ..We were full and happy.Bill including service for two £66I award this with ease 5starsWill not only return, but with more friends from London ..we enjoyed itGreat place,staff, food,atmosphere Thank-you :) More...

The food is uniformly excellent and about as far removed from your typical flock wallpaper curry house as you can get. Also excellent and plentiful vegetarian/vegan options. The staff are just the right degree of attentive and really knowledgeable about what they are serving. And the only downside (and hence four stars not five) is that it is quite noisy when full (which it always seems to be - a recommendation in itself). For those with younger ears than mine this probably wouldn't be an issue. More...
