We had some Christmas photos done with Serena for our 5 month old baby boy.... fantastic! Serena put us completely at ease, and made such an effort with our little one too. Serena did our recent family Christmas shoots. The kids had loads of fun with laughs and giggles she got some amazing shots.
We loved every minute and had a range of different photos for Christmas pressies.
Previous to that we have had a bump shoot with her. She captured the love and the moment beautifully.
Once our baby girl was born she did an amazing new born shoot.
She also shot our daughters christening. She caught the beautiful memories of everyone who shared the special day with us, on camera, from start to finish.
We would highly recommend!

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
I'm sure many would say things such as lighting, composition or a great setting. All very important things for a photographer to consider of course, but for me I have to say connection. If I can connect with my clients they feel more relaxed, the session becomes fun which equals great memories and beautiful images to cherish.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
All the usual questions, such as, the type of event or session they are looking for, dates and times required, perhaps their budget if it is for an event and not a usual session. Then I ask questions which will give me an insight into them e.g. if they book a Bubble or Glitter session for a young child I might ask what they are into at the moment or who their favourite T.V character is. This gives me a way to connect with the child quickly and get them relaxed and having fun during their session.
What do you love most about your job?
Connecting with families and sharing that special point in their lives is a true privilege and I love that every photograph provides a window into a precious memory that will be cherished forever.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have had a passion for art for as long as I can remember and the world of photography was opened up to me at the age of 12, when my father gave me my first SLR camera. I have been down many career routes through the years, including teaching and running my own childcare business. I have taken on events and portrait clients as a sideline which has been great fun but always in the background was my dream to run my own photography business full time. So now my son is growing up, my husbands business is thriving and they have encouraged me to follow my dream.

I truly love what I do, I want my clients to enjoy their session with me and fall in love with the results. With my background in teaching and childcare I can connect with families and children quickly, which enables me to make the experience fun and my clients comfortable, this ultimately shows through in their images.
