The Bright Click was formed by Managing Director Matt Davis in April 2012, following the incorporation of his previous business Matt Davis Media.

The digital marketing arena is a crowded one – there are lots of agencies doing what we do and no doubt doing it well.

A brilliant company, full of creative, friendly people. Our website project was one of the most enjoyable business arrangements I have experienced. The approachable, friendly attitude of Matt, Dan and the Bright Click team made working through each phase of the project so easy. With all those who I worked the closest with, it felt more like being in contact with trusted friends.I am delighted that my working relationship continues with Bright Click through their website hosting, security and support services - which I would rate far greater than 5 stars. The Bright Click will always be our 'go to' experts for anything digital. They are amazing at what they do, and always go the extra mile. Furthermore they explain everything in language anyone can understand - their expertise lies in their work, not in their jargon. Highly recommended More...

Matt is very knowledgable about digital marketing. He demystified social media marketing techniques to us and explained them in clear and effective ways. Our Facebook boosts and ads have definitely improved since then. I'm also grateful to Matt for teaching me how to fine-tune our keywords by doing research on google's keywords planner - this was a real eye-opener. So thanks a lot Matt and the rest of the Bright Click. More...

I first met matt a few years ago and have worked with him on my web page etc . I found him to be firstly very up front, explained things in my terms not jargon that means nothing to most of us. He adapted my original site which to be honest was ok but produced no leads or traffic, this has changed. For a fantastic experience which in my case was hassle free look no further than the bright click.Matt thank you once again. Q&As

Most web designers are focused on great-looking websites and little else. As a marketing agency, we're thinking about the objective of the website from Day One. Does it need to generate customers? Collect leads? Or is it simply a 'brochure' style site detailing the services that you offer. Simply - a GREAT website should look good but should meet the objectives of the client as well as the end user. And most importantly it should work just as well on a smartphone and tablet as it does on a desktop.

What outcomes would you like to achieve from the website? Sales? Enquiries? Leads?
Do you have images of your business that we can use? (we prefer to use authentic images rather than stock images)
We like our clients to think about WHY their customers want to use them, rather than WHAT they do - it helps to tailor the site to the end user's requirements, and helps the user to find what they're looking for more easily.

Getting results for our clients - there's nothing more satisfying that knowing that you did everything right, you joined all the dots, you used your experience and know-how - and then you press the 'go' button, sit back and watch the enquiries coming in and generating a return-on-investment. We like making a difference. We get a lot of business from clients who are disenchanted with their current agency. We never want to be that agency. We have lost very few clients over the last five years and we're proud of this.

I was working in the city and had a newborn son, and due to travel times, meetings and hold-ups, I went a whole five days without seeing him when he was awake, which upset me. I was complaining to my mum whilst walking home from the station in the rain, and completely forgot that she'd been in hospital that day receiving her sixth lot of chemotherapy - but she wasn't complaining and I was. I realised I had matters in my own hands, and the chance to create a life for myself where not only could I spend more quality time with my son, but also create a better future for him too. I honestly never looked back from that day - a total life-changer for me.

We are creatives but with commercial minds. We know what looks good but we know that a pretty website doesn't pay the bills or help a small business owner sleep at night. We know how to build websites that perform - that look great but that perform even better. We build websites that Google LOVE. We ARE a small business so we know the type of service that small businesses need and their resource limitations - we build affordable websites for our clients to be proud of.

Services

Most business-owners would argue that having a website is a fundamental, essential requirement. It almost goes without saying, if you’ve got a business, you need a website.
However, your website shouldn’t be an afterthought. Or a box-tick.
It’s your chance to impress a potential customer before you’ve even spoken with them. To showcase your business and the amazing service or products that you offer in all of their glory.
It’s also an opportunity to think about your ideal customer, and to make sure that your website answers any questions that they’re likely to be considering. The ‘whys’ as well as the ‘whats’.
As well as a brochure, your website should be your number one marketing tool. Optimised with dazzling copy and technical wizardry, it should be easy to find on Google, and then ready to convert the searcher into a customer.

In some cases you can do this organically, or naturally – for example by using Social Media to drive increased awareness of your business, or by using smart techniques to ensure that your natural Google results are as positive as they can be.
But sometimes it’s good to take search results and Social Media activity a step further – and this is where digital advertising can be hugely effective.
In recent times we’ve advertised a drink that cures Gout to people searching for a natural remedy to the problem. Wedding DJs to engaged couples. Energy drinks to marathon runners. A magic show to fans of Derrin Brown who live in Colchester!
We’ve saved Estate Agents thousands of pounds in recruitment costs too – just by targeting a well-placed advert for literally pennies. Not to mention the millions of pounds worth of valuation requests we’re sending our property clients daily, sometimes for pennies.
And what’s more – it’s incredibly measurable – you can see how many people saw your ad, how many of those clicked on it, try four adverts at once and run with the best, stop and start them at any time, scale the best performing campaigns at the click of a mouse.
Factor in lookalike audiences, advanced targeting by preferences and cross-platform / device integration and you’ll see that the possibilities are endless.
Your potential customers are out there waiting for you to reach them. It’s our job to make your business easy for them to find.

SEO has evolved massively since we started this business back on 2012 – it’s virtually unrecognisable from what it used to be.
Dodgy backlinks, white text on a white background, keyword-stuffing, we’ve seen it all and thankfully these ‘black-hat’ techniques are now largely confined to history.
SEO in 2020 is all about doing the things that Google likes to see, and doing them well, and consistently.
It’s about giving the user what they’re looking for, and providing the best experience for them that you can.
That means compelling content, fast page loading, mobile-responsiveness, strong calls-to-action and other factors that make Google (and the other search engines) happy.
