A lovely Sunday roast. Absolutely lovely & friendly staff members. We’ll definitely come back. Only disappointment: why do you allow dogs amongst your diners? A quiet dog sitting nicely under a table is fine. But a loud barking dog? Completely spoiled what would have been a lovely family lunch. The owners should have been asked to take the dog outside surely! It barked constantly through the whole lunch, right next to two other tables ... More...

Had a great Sunday lunch this afternoon! Great service, nice food and chilled atmosphere. Good system for reservations via email, when you arrive just tell them your name or find your name written on the table blackboard. .. few tables around us never showed at their allotted time which is unfair on the restaurant and people who might have wanted tables. Will be returning soon with family! More...

Lovely birthday meal for 9 enjoyed on a (very busy!) Sunday afternoon. Our table was booked for a certain time but the previous booking were still there so we just hung around until they were done and the table was cleared. Got seated and service was quick, attentive and all the staff were lovely & polite. Our party on the whole enjoyed their dinners - beware the child's Sunday lunch portion - very big! Our 6 year old love the giant yorkshire pudding. Lovely food in a lovely pub. Car park was rammed though! More...

Haven't been for a while but decided to pop in for lunch as they have recently revised their menu. We have to say we had a wonderful meal and would definitely recommend, and will most certainly be back. Great menu with enough variety to please everyone, including a very fussy vegetarian. Lovely food, and what super desserts !! .. Topped off by lovely waiting staff, who were very attentive and smiling all the time. More...

It's a great friendly pub that takes dogs - 9ffers doggie goodies too. Staff are lovely. The menu is okay - traditional but they offer some groovy salads and have various theme nights. We like to pop in for breakfast at the weekend s with our doggie. We don't have kids but it's very child friendly having been voted family pub if the year last year and runner up this year. Zoe is lovey. Very welcoming. More...

We had our daughters Holy Communion lunch here today. The staff were exceptionally helpful with our requests due to mobility issues. The food was fantastic. Thumbs up for the Yorkshire puddings from my Yorkshire hubby and father in law. We hardly saw the kids as they were having such a great time. A real gem of a place. More...

We had a lovely time at The Boot on Friday for a friend's leaving do. I have multiple dietary restrictions and The Boot team went out of their way to accommodate me. Overall the food was delicious, with decent portion sizes. The gluten free orange cake is absolutely scrumptious! Drinks service was a little slow, so that's the only reason this isn't a 5 review. I will definitely be heading back soon! More...

We turned up without a booking, and a lovely young lady found us a table, on what was an obviously busy night (Friday) on a very warm evening. The service was with a smile , the food excellent, two of our guest were from "Oop North" and said the fish and chips were better than in their neck of the woods, praise indeed. The rest of us had a selection of dishes, all very well cooked and very tasty. All in all a lovely evening, in a lovely pub which we just happened upon on our drive. We will be going back again soon (I hope). More...

Love this pub- staff are always welcoming and friendly. This is my ideal country pub- great in the summer with the large garden and cozy in the winter with warm fires and twinkling Christmas lights. Mum and I have just enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea consisting of finger sandwiches, cream scones with fresh fruit and jam plus numerous delicious tartlets and brownies. We did our best but alas couldn't possibly manage all that was on offer so of course we've gone home with doggy bags full of goodies! Thank you to the Boot More...

My first visit to your pub and it was lovely. My daughter and I along with my daughters friends doggie received a warm welcome. Staff were very attentive and the food was absolutely fab. I had chicken and bacon pesto pasta, gorgeous and my daughter the burger. She mentioned it was better than Gaucho’s and a third of the price. We loved it. Will definitely be back soon, thank you, keep up the good work. 5 More...
