I never leave reviews but The Black Bull totally deserve this review. On Friday 01st of October we held our wedding reception here in the function room, the food was amazing, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. They helped us to achieve the perfect day, all our guests loved the venue, food and hospitality that was shown from all staff. I would highly recommend the Black Ball for any function big or small. A nice welcome from all the Staff. Good selection of Beers, Lagers and Wine. We wanted a light snack lunch and sat in the garden. Nothing was any problem with the staff. The food was brilliant - goats cheese salad and chorizo and poached egg salad (with a sneaky bowl of chips). Would definitely recommend 👍👍

Just popped in on a hot afternoon for a quick drink, not busy but served promptly by friendly staff, very competent and good communication. Had a look at the menu on the app, which is clunky but definitely workable, food choice was good and up to date so chose a ceasar salad and a chorizo and Brie burger which was amazing! So glad to have this pub open in our town. The new owners are doing a fantastic job turning this pub around. We spent the afternoon here on a busy Saturday drinks were served really quickly from ordering on the app. All of the staff are really friendly and just nice people. There is a good range of drinks to choose from with some nice ales on rotation. Food wise we all ordered burgers from the garden menu and everyone enjoyed the food which was great quality for under £10. Hope this pub continues to be a success after covid restrictions are lifted, I know we will all be supporting it as best we can. More...
