Husband, hound and I were having such a wonderful day after hiking in the woods and didn’t want to go home yet so we took a chance that they might have a spare table at the Bell for us & they did! Delicious Roast dinner and Sunday red wine in the sunshine with plenty leftover for the hound. They were great to us! Beautiful garden and lovely team. Looking forward to going back soon, and to the Holy Pundit when that opens again in May *they were fully booked, we only got a table by chance, so I’d recommend booking beforehand, especially on a sunny weekend. Absolutely outstanding Sunday roast. A beef and a lamb dinner, plenty of moist tasty meat, roast spuds, carrot and suede mash, broccoli and cauliflower cheese, green beans and cabbage. MASSIVE Yorkshire puddings, pot of gravy, mint sauce and a hot horseradish that made my eyes water, lovely. We picked up due to snow, all handled really well and as safe as possible. This was our first experience of a take away roast and we where not disappointed, great value, great portion size and good variety of food , meat was cooked perfectly and beans where still nice and crunchy no soggy veg , even better minimal washing up. Personal preference I would of liked a bit more sauce on the cauliflower and crispier potatoes but now I am just being fussy as the whole package deserves a well done chef , we will come again . Super service - Kate was excellent. Great selection of food, well cooked and once again really enjoyable. We also know they do excellent Sunday lunch takeaways. If you haven’t been you really should.
