Debbie got in touch with me when she saw my post on Bark and that was probably one of the luckiest days of my life.
We have now worked together on 6 rooms in total in our beautiful Victorian house and Debbie has played a vital part of making our new house a home.

I wanted to buy a new sofa, as my older one was way too small for my new home.

Debbie, provided me with a sketch of my living room and the best sofa & furniture dimensions and layout for the room.
It was really helpful having a visual of how the living room could look with the right furniture in it.

I've used The Balanced Abode twice now. The first time Debbie created a plan for our living room and then spent a day with me creating a fabulous space which would work for the family. She explains how & why furniture, art etc is best placed. When we remodeled our kitchen I didn't hesitate to call her in again. She worked with me from scratch as the kitchen was gutted & rebuilt. Her vision & mood boards were spot on and made the perfect palette within which to work. We shopped together and finally staged the room. What’s your interior design process?
Beginning with a remote or face to face consultation we discuss your requirements and time scale and my various services.
Once an agreement and payment is in place, a timescale is scheduled to either stage the property with furniture and accessories ready for photographing and marketing for sale, or provide a 3D visual of how your home can work for you and your family.
The visuals really bring each room to life and show you layouts you had never thought possible with feng shui principles, storage solutions and space enhancing tricks.
I work to your chosen colour palette that I have helped you create, carefully considering who will use the space and how.
If you need help sourcing the perfect furniture and accessories, I can create a mood board to your budget with a click to buy shopping list once you are happy with the ideas and items.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
For staging to sell, my experience is that modern looks sell houses more successfully. Twinning this with traditional for an eclectic look is a particular favourite of mine.

What do you love most about your job?
The transformation and success results for my clients. Showing clients alternative ways of living in their spaces and re-arranging their own furniture and possessions. Bringing dull or empty spaces to life, giving homeowners or buyers a "feeling" that they belong.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Lockdown gave me a new perspective on how our homes should FEEL so i began studying feng shui principles to help bring harmony and calm to people's spaces. An Interior design qualification was next and a natural progression into home staging followed.

Home staging has consistently impressive results and by using feng shui skills, I take particular care about furniture and accessory placement, ensuring a positive flow of energy throughout the property that buyers will feel from the moment they walk in.
My Interior design skills will show clients a new way of living, breathing new life into their homes and helping them to de-clutter and re-organise their spaces. Colour choices, furniture and accessory sourcing and optimum layouts will be a breeze with my help.

My remote services work well with either already furnished homes that need some improvement in order to be ready for sale, or empty spaces that need bringing to life. I can "walk through" hard to sell properties over zoom and give instant advice followed by a written action plan that the vendor can put into place immediately.
My Virtual staging service can be used by developers of empty spaces as well as homeowners looking for a new way of living. From consultations, to moodboards through to 3D designs showing how your space can look its best.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
For all my clients I practice social distancing and offer to wear a face mask for all visits. There is no need for me to touch client's possessions.
