Having known a few people that have been to Julia, I didn’t hesitate to book an appointment. Had my first visit today and I was extremely impressed with the way she delves into the root of the problem and listens to everything you say, so that she can determine the cause. I’ve had shoulder problems for years, and even after my first appointment I feel like a weight has been lifted. Great treatment room by the way!! More...

Jules is AMAZING - so knowledgeable and will definitely get you moving and feeling better in yourself. I’ve been to Jules for years for Sports Massages and help with sports injuries and she has been brilliant. I do a lot of weight lifting so it’s super important to get the right help when it comes to performance and injury prevention. She has the most beautiful studio, which is a lovely relaxing environment and I always come out feeling so much better. Thank you 😊 Highly highly recommended More...

The studio location is wonderful. Relaxing, private and very professional. On arrival you are welcomed and made to feel at ease straightaway. The COVID protocols are observed at all times, and Jules is an absolute delight. Reassuring, professional, personable and insightful. Explaining and establishing what is the best course of treatments after clearly establishing what the issues are. Throughout the treatment she clearly explains what she is doing and what the affects and outcomes will be. I can not recommend Jules and this practise enough. Easily 5 star and well worth a booking to resolve and treat your needs. More...

I can highly recommend Julia’s hot stone massage, the only disappointment was when my treatment finished. I had a lot of tension around my shoulders and neck area from being sat at my lap top for long periods. The massage definitely loosened things off. I felt very safe with all Julia’s Covid safety precautions. More...

I go to see Julia once a month to help with all the knots that build up in my neck and shoulders from sitting at a desk all day. She is amazing at what she does. She’s so professional and puts you at ease as soon as you meet her. I’m excited to try dry needling in my next session. More...

Q&As

Helping people to move better and become pain free.

Having experienced the benefits of sports massage after a back injury and its ability to provide pain relief and get me moving again, it inspired me to train as a Sports Massage Therapist, which then led on to wanting to learn more about how the body works and moves and going on to train as a Specialist Personal Trainer and learn more about the field of Sports Therapy

I understand how the body moves and how it becomes restricted and have a range of techniques to use in treatments. I look at the big picture of why an injury or restriction has happened, and work with you on a prevention strategy post treatment.

Services

Sports massage helps to keep muscles flexible and can help to reduce discomfort from DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) following new or increased exercise. Can help to prevent injury. Not just for athletes! Sports massage can help with stiff and sore muscles and is used to treat back pain, neck and shoulder pain. Sports massage is a firm, deep tissue treatment, but shouldn't be painful.

Helps to reduce pain and expedites the healing process in acute injury and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Medical acupuncture encourages your body to release natural pain killing endorphins and hormones which relax muscle tone and also increases blood flow to the affected area to deliver oxygen and nutrients, mop up damaged and necrotic cells and reduce inflammation. Very effective in the treatment of acute back pain and chronic conditions such as tendinopathies.

Joint articulation and joint manipulation, sometimes referred to as 'clicking' or 'cracking' when a joint is mobilised and sometimes an audible crack or click is heard or felt. We use this technique to effect the joints to improve movement and reduce pain.

Vacuum cups are applied to the skin, either in a static treatment or used in conjunction with massage, which pulls the tissues into the cup to improve blood flow to the area and has the same neurological response as acupuncture, helping to reduce pain and encourage smooth muscle tone. Can sometimes leave circular marks on the skin which may last for several days.

Used to help prolong the effects of massage treatment, the tape gently lifts the skin to help reduce inflammation and encourage blood flow to the area.
Highly effective in the reduction of inflammation and in reducing bruising.
