A warm and welcoming haven from a miserable damp evening. Once seated, we had plenty of time to peruse the varied menu. It was a difficult choice as there were so many mouth-watering options. Our group reluctantly decided to forgo a starter, so as not to spoil the main course but also, we had had a glance at the desserts. There was a fabulous choice of steaks, sauces and accompaniments; you could ‘build your own burger’ with a large selection of toppings; other choices varied from pork fillet to venison, and sea bass fillets to Peterhead-landed haddock; the vegetables used were sourced locally. My taste buds were ‘drawn’ to the ‘special’s board’ and the lamb shank with mashed potatoes and green vegetables - I was not disappointed - it was delicious. Strangely enough, we all had a dessert! The lemon posset was definitely melt in the mouth, and the Chef ‘s sharing platter for two looked equally tasty. Definitely won’t be long before our next visit. More...

I booked this place yesterday Just out of the blue as I wanted to take my boyfriend out for a birthday meal so his family had I had a lovely meal here as it’s been my first ever time being there and the staff was very nice and welcoming and very friendly and the know what everyone was having to eat but I would really like highly recommend this place to anyone Regards Jade Victoria Buchan

Professional service, great location and more importantly the best steak I have ever eaten in the United Kingdom. The sharing plate was amazing and staff cut freshly prepared steak in front of the guest. The sides were tasty. Mushrooms, onions, rocket leaves and chips were fantastic accompaniment. The portion were adequate. Prices were appropriate for the quality of products. The place also has garden that would be worth checking when the weather is good. Our first time for Sunday Carvery and won’t be our last. Delicious food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Our son was sold on it as the kitchen made him sausage beans and chips which is his go to in any restaurant. Loved it.
