A wonderful, caring and patient dog groomer. I have recently adopted a rescue cavapoo with grooming issues. We were warned when we adopted him that he'd had a very bad experience and was consequently aggressive with groomers and had been 'blacklisted' by some. The lady we have been working with at Taunton Dog Groomers has been so understanding, working with my boy to gain his trust and gradually grooming him as he gets use to her without distressing him. And I'll add - at no charge as she doesn't feel's he's yet to have a proper groom (I always tip, as she won't let me pay for her time and she's really doing an amazing job!!) You can tell that this lady loves dogs and works tirelessly to ensure their wellbeing is considered first and foremost. We've had 4 visits now over a couple of weeks, my dog is becoming more comfortable with each visit and is almost unrecognisable from the straggly, mated mess he was when we got him. I feel so lucky to have found someone that's cares enough to take on the challenge and is totally dog focused. I wouldnt hesitate in recommending them to anyone looking for a kind, caring, professional groomer. More...

Our Bichon Frise, Olaf, visited for the first time yesterday. He enjoyed the pampering and we are very happy with the cut. The place is accessible, warm and friendly. The lady went to great lengths to explain what she could and couldn't do for Olaf. For example, if we wanted a 'show' cut then she could not oblige. We wanted a 'pet' cut and with particular attention around his eyes. We are very pleased. More...

We sent my big brown bear of a Labrador off to get a pedicure and a mini makeover, and are extremely pleased with the results. The salon is located in a converted barn with easy access and plenty of parking on site. The Salon itself is well equipped and very clean and tidy, especially given the nature of the business. We dropped off the Chocolate mess and were told to leave her for a few hours. On returning we found that she had indeed had a pedicure to a high standard and an all over check and thorough clean, even inside her ears. She seems like a very happy camper and certainly smells fresher..lol..We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Taunton Dog Groomers to anyone who want a high quality very affordable service (we paid £35) from two lovely ladies who know what they are doing.This may not be by royal appointment, but it's not far off!!
