Lovely bath buns warm out of the oven and what looked like the smallest pub in the world. Quiet on a Monday morning but decked out in advance of Halloween and 2 levels of toiny shops with seating area in the middle

We loved just about everything in here. Great Italian food, Master Foody Moody surprises with the best vegan food and smoothies (green borilla! ). Best hummus i have ever had. The Caribbean food is tastes like you are visiting a friend, the Greek comes across a bit harried, but the attention to the food is great and this was also a good hummus (more sharp and garlicky, but good nonetheless). Lovely vintage bargains to be had upstairs and art on display. Last but not least: Gina's bakery gave us lovely bread and buns. Every bread was good, and the rye extra special, a savoury bread that goes perfectly with cheese and/or scrambled eggs. Lovely Katherina went above and beyond normal customer service, giving our daughter piano lessons on the market piano. We had a great time during many visits to the market, please still be quirky like this when we next come on holiday!Negatives: the coffee is so-so (but my husband is a barista so the bar is high) and the blowup sofa we bought lasted only two days (poor stitching). Fascinating little place. It looks like it may have been a theatre, cinema or music hall at some point. It even has the original box office out the front. Inside has a genuine bohemian/hippie feel to it. A bit cliche these days but it had real charm. The building was home to many small businesses offering a variety of food and drink. The most notable was one which appeared to be operating from an open topped double decker bus, but there was a bakers, an organic foods shop, a BBQ stall and much more.Unfortunately we were pushed for time and couldn't stay to eat but, when we return to Margate, we'll certainly return with a mind to stay much longer.
